Food and Beverage Manufacturing

Micro Encapsulation and Flavouring Experts

About us

TasteTech are a creative pioneer in the field of micro-encapsulation, specialising in the manufacture of controlled release food flavourings and ingredients for the bakery, confectionery, chewing gum and nutrition markets. By using encapsulation manufacturers are able to increase the longevity and control the release of ingredients and flavourings. The bakery industry can use encapsulation to achieve controlled release by heat. For example, SorbicPlus is an encapsulated preservative that provides 6-30 days mould free bakery products. The encapsulate melts only during the baking process releasing the active ingredient continuously and evenly throughout the product. Within the chewing gum manufacturing process, encapsulation can prolong flavour release by encapsulating high intensity sweeteners, acids and flavourings in the product. The shearing action caused by chewing provides a prolonged release of the ingredients, enabling the production of gum with a high impact long lasting taste. Also ideal for confectionery and gum products, StabilisedMentholPlus could save you up to 50% on your menthol costs without compromising on impact as it contains 95% menthol compared to spray dry, which on average contains 20%. Sports nutrition manufacturers can benefit from our highly concentrated flavourings. TasteTech understand that the raw materials used in sports nutrition products are often bitter or unpalatable. This is why our team of dedicated flavourists continually create innovative products expertly designed to mask unwanted bitter notes while also providing a superior taste. TasteTech have been manufacturing in the UK for 22 years and export their products to over 30 countries. Their technical, R&D and Quality Control teams, along with onsite testing facilities support their customer’s new product developments which continues to keep them at the forefront of the industry. Excited for next week’s trip to the Natural Products Expo in California with our Commercial Director Rob Sinton. It’s the perfect opportunity to strengthen TasteTech's partnership with our distribution partner, Gillco Ingredients, an Azelis Company, and get a first look at the latest trends emerging from the US (where, as we all know, trends begin 😉). If you’re attending and would like to set up a meeting, feel free to reach out – I’d love to connect! #NPEW2025 #NaturalProducts #Innovation #TasteTech #GillcoIngredients #Trends #Networking #Flavourings #Microencapsulation

  • Valued at $1.46 trillion globally, the non-alcoholic drinks market is truly booming, and is expected to continue growing over the next five years. There was a time, not too long ago, when people who chose to abstain from alcohol were stigmatised. However, since the pandemic, society as a whole has become more health-conscious, and so we have seen an incredible increase in demand for no- and low-alcohol options. Both established drinks brands and new market challengers have amped up their NPD over the last few years to create a wealth of options for consumers who want to reduce their alcohol intake. We've even seen celebrities getting in on the action, with Kylie Minogue, Lewis Hamilton, Tom Holland and Katy Perry establishing their own no-alcohol drinks brands. If you're looking to create a new beverage product, we have a wide range of liquid flavourings available. We also offer a bespoke flavour creation service for the beverage industry.

  • Since 1992, we have been at the forefront of micro-encapsulation technology, pioneering solutions for leading food manufacturers worldwide. Our encapsulation technologies create smarter ingredients to help solve manufacturing issues in the food industry.

  • Are you looking for world-class expertise in chewing gum technology? Since our beginning in 1992, we've worked alongside chewing gum manufacturers to provide ingredients and solutions for an ever-changing industry. In December, we once again welcomed a team from one of our customers to TasteTech HQ for our industry-leading Chewing Gum Technology seminar, led by Joan Mestres. This seminar is now available for our customers, offering a comprehensive view of the development process, as well as a competitive edge in the market. Learning opportunities in chewing gum are rare. Globally, there are few companies and institutions offering training in this area. The Chewing Gum Technology seminar focusses on the formulation, evaluation and production of chewing gum, so you can create a product that stands out from the competition. The training can also be customised to suit your company's requirements. For pricing information, or to book your seminar, get in touch today.

  • Each year, we choose three local charities to focus our fundraising efforts on. For 2025, we are pleased to announce that our chosen charities are: Brain Tumour Support - The charity for anyone affected by any type of brain tumour. Off the Record (Bristol) - A mental health social movement by and for young people aged 11-25. inHope (Bristol) Limited - Helping people in Bristol overcome the insecurities of homelessness, hunger, addiction, and poor mental health.

  • We're starting as we mean to go on in 2025 - with a donation to a brilliant local charity. Bristol Soup Run Trust operates every single night to provide food and support to people experiencing homelessness and poverty in Bristol. They also help to signpost people to other resources in the city. During the winter months, their work is more important that ever. TasteTech is proud to support Bristol Soup Run Trust with a donation of £500 to support their operating costs during this time. Find out more and make a donation at bristolsoupruntrust.org.uk
