    Silver Bullet GtM Hires for Global SaaS Scale-Ups

    Will 2024 go down in tech hiring history like 2001, 2008, 2020?   Maybe not, but it wasn’t easy.   We should welcome years like this because you learn, improve, and bounce back stronger to provide your clients with an even better service. It’s a great thing for the recruitment industry.   Turns out we finished in style, and I’d like to say thank you to....   The clients of Christmas past (delighted to see stalled projects from 2023 back on), present (those on the nice list get all our A-players), and future (January is already stacked with discovery calls).   We’ve hired 7 new #teemmates (exciting announcements from both sides of the Atlantic), embarked on 30+ new partnerships with rocket ship SaaS clients, and helped over 100 A* reps with the next chapter of their GTM careers.   Some of my personal highlights of 2024:   ▪️ The CRO GtM London dinner with our partners Eurazeo. Thanks to special guests Parm Uppal, GURO BAKKENG BERGAN, and David Perry. ▪️ Meeting Jonny Wilkinson at the Leaders of Great Britain conference. ▪️ Seeing our young leaders fly.     The market swing is upon us, and as we enter 2025 we are once again in a candidate-driven market, meaning there are more SaaS GtM opportunities than there are candidates. With an increase in the demand for talent comes an increase in pressure to reach an agreement quickly at offer stage. As a candidate, here are some do’s and don’ts to help you evaluate and negotiate your comp plans when exploring a new SaaS opportunity. Do: ✔️ Research the market rate and benchmark typical target’s and OTE ranges for your role. ✔️ Think holistically – explore aspects beyond salary, e.g. equity, benefits, and growth potential. ✔️ Use your recruitment partner to liaise with both parties and advise on what is realistic. ️ Don’t: ❌ Be afraid to negotiate. ❌ Rush any decision – always ask for time to review details if needed. ❌ Accept a counteroffer from your current employer! A bump in salary won’t solve the reasons that made you consider leaving.
