Happy New Year! If your New Year's resolution is to learn more about biogas, we have the course for you! The 'Biomethane Grid Injection' training course with Iain Ward on Wednesday, 15 January, covers the technicalities, process and procedures for biomethane-to-grid projects as well as the benefits to be gained. The course will provide an understanding of opportunities and the means by which biogas manufactured from waste can be upgraded to make biomethane and to meet the various standards for entry into the existing gas supply network – this is to displace the equivalent quantity of fossil gas and hence support Net Zero initiatives. The course will also explain how the value of biomethane sold into the market (and support from the Green Gas Support Scheme) generates an income stream. Available to ADBA members and non-members. Find out more and register: https://lnkd.in/eaqpayNS #biomethane #biogas #trainingcourse #gridinjection #gasnetwork #anaerobicdigestion #netzero

If you or your organisation has made an outstanding contribution to the development of AD and biogas through research and innovation, tell us all about it! Submit an entry to the AD and Biogas Industry Awards by 31 December 2024: https://lnkd.in/e3YQRC-s Congratulations to our 2024 winner Electrochaea! Electrochaea is an energy company with an innovative solution for storage of intermittent renewable energy and generation of synthetic methane. Electrochaea’s proprietary technology converts renewable electricity and carbon dioxide into BioCat Methane, a low-carbon intensity synthetic methane. For this process they use Electrochaea’s patented biocatalyst – methanogenic archaea. BioCat Methane is reliable, practical, and a safe replacement for natural gas. It can be stored in the existing gas grid infrastructure for use in days, weeks or months. This scalable solution allows for the efficient and unlimited storage of energy for future use, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and accelerates decarbonization of the gas grid. Could you be our 2025 winner? Submit an entry today: https://lnkd.in/e3YQRC-s

📢 Calling all anaerobic digestion plants worldwide that are 1MWe-equivalent or smaller in capacity! We want to hear from you! Enter your AD plant in to this year's AD and Biogas Industry Awards: https://lnkd.in/e3YQRC-s Congratulations to last year's winners Fylde Fresh and Fabulous! Founded in 2005, Fylde Fresh and Fabulous has emerged as a frontrunner in processing and delivering freshly prepared vegetables to ready meal producers and the food service industry throughout the UK. Their plant stands out as a superior choice among facilities of equal or smaller capacity, thanks to its remarkable >98.5% overall efficiency. Their exceptional efficiency is achieved through our consistent approach of utilizing all of the waste produced from their potato factory on-site and sourcing additional feedstocks from local farmers, thereby minimizing the carbon footprint associated with importing materials from multiple sources.
