That's a wrap! We set a very ambitious target with this year's Big Give Christmas Campaign, to align with the growing demand in life-changing equipment we've seen here at The Sunshine Fund this year. 🎅🏼☃ Now the campaign has closed, we're delighted to have raised £8,348 in just 7 days, and we'd like to send a huge thank you to all who donated to our cause. 100% of this will go directly towards our winter equipment round, which stands at over £32,000. 🌟 We've been overwhelmed by the generosity of our community in the past week and it doesn't stop here... if you missed out on donating to our campaign and would still like to make an impact this Christmas, you can still do your bit and make a donation to our festive JustGiving page: https://lnkd.in/gTkHUWT5 🎄🎁

This December, our team celebrated Christmas Jumper Day and raised funds for the incredible The Chronicle Sunshine Fund 🌟  But it’s more than just wearing bright sweaters and sharing a laugh. Initiatives like these remind us of the power of coming together as a community to support those who need it most.  At Eldon Square, we believe that creating impact goes beyond our day-to-day work—it’s about contributing to the well-being of others and championing causes that align with our values. And that’s a wrap for our Santa Grotto Bus 2024! 🎅🏼🚌 It’s been a fantastic couple of weeks, thank you to everybody who visited, volunteered their time or made a donation! 🎁 And our biggest thank you goes to the incredible team at Stagecoach Group Limited Slatyford, without their hard work on the bus and behind the scenes, this wouldn’t be possible. 🎄 Here’s to 2025! 🌟

Today is our LAST day on Northumberland Street! Come and see Santa on our Accessible Grotto Bus - we’re here until 4.30pm outside TK Maxx! 🎅🚌 We’re going out with a bang as we have the Star Wars characters from #99thGarrison joining us, you’ll see them in Eldon Square 🌟 We also have our fabulous elves from True Colours Theatre who will be dancing and signing at our bus from 11am - so do come and say hello! 🎄

Today we are visiting Thomas Bewick School with our Santa Grotto bus with The Chronicle Sunshine Fund. This is a specialist school for children with autism. Every child will receive a selection box donated by Stagecoach Bus staff.

So proud of the Northeast Stagecoach Bus team. Today the Slatyford team, along with their festive helpers from The Chronicle Sunshine Fund, visited the Royal Victoria Infirmary today, focusing on the children of the Children’s Hospital. Some of these children are too sick to be at home for Christmas, so we took Christmas to them! Humbling to be part of such a fantastic team 🫶🏼🎄🎅🤶

The Sunshine Fund x Stagecoach Group Limited FREE, Accessible Santa Grotto Bus has been on the road this week! 🎅🏼🚍 On Monday, we visited our friends at Hadrian School, where the team from Stagecoach Slatyford handed out selection boxes, colouring books, flags and hand-stitched gingerbread decorations to all the children 🎁 This was the first of 3 community visits this week and it was a pleasure to spread some festive cheer, sing some Christmas songs and jingle some bells with the fantastic kids at the school! 🔔🌟
