Thanks Bridges Outcomes Partnerships for your support, from the earliest days of the programme to the fantastic results achieved by the children now. Here's to Year 3!
We’re delighted to be partnering with the The Education Outcomes Fund, the Government of Sierra Leone and others on the *Sierra Leone Education Innovation Challenge* (SLEIC) – which has just announced Year 2 results! 📣 SLEIC is a bold initiative to improve primary education in the country, and the largest #outcomesfund for education globally. The latest results represent exciting progress for the three-year programme, which is reaching 134,000 pupils across 325 primary schools: 💥They are equivalent to gaining an entire extra year of schooling in the best performing education systems in sub-Saharan Africa.💥 And to reflect gender barriers to educational equity in the country, the programme has a particular focus on improving learning outcomes for girls. Year 2 results show that girls have achieved a 124% increase in numeracy outcomes, and in some regions have caught up with the boys. BOP is proud to be working with three of the five SLEIC delivery partners in their work with government schools: EducAid Sierra Leone, Rising Academy Network and Street Child. 🤝 Read more about the partnership and why taking an #outcomes approach is delivering game-changing results, here: https://lnkd.in/ez3MsaCd 🧮 And for a more detailed look at SLEIC’s Year 2 results, visit: https://lnkd.in/ecJXesrH Ali Inam Andres Mora Jonathan Singh Amit Shah Mila Lukic The Education Outcomes Fund Government of Sierra Leone Bank of America Hempel Foundation Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) UK International Development (Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office) The Rockdale Foundation #education #socialinnovation Image: Annie Spratt
