EV drivers apps are so important, and this one allows you to make money. Check it out below👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
EV Consultant @ The EV Guy & Partners | Sustainability Solutions Salary Sacrifice Cars | Fully Funded Car Park Charging | Home EV Charging
£136 of free charging on Octopus Electroverse⚡️ You can do the same, just hit the link in the comments👇🏼 By now, you have likely seen me posting about the &Charge app, because it is incredible, and I am very proud to be a partner and user of the app. I don’t often need to use public charging, but when I do, I also record the condition in the &Charge app where possible, and claim my rewards. It’s a few extra clicks and a few extra minutes but almost effortless, and I have already racked up over £100 of charging vouchers, or nearly £120 to spend on the Apple store. Like John in my previous &Charge post, I will use this to pay for all my public charging. This app has become part of my EV journey. Why your business needs a Salary Sacrifice car scheme, and why choosing the right supplier is key ⚡️ If your company isn’t offering a salary sacrifice electric vehicle scheme yet, you are missing out on a win-win-win for your business, your employees, and the planet. But here’s the catch: choosing the right supplier is crucial, and I can help. Many providers charge high fees, leading to expensive monthly payments for employees. This often results in low uptake, meaning no financial or carbon savings for your business. When selecting a supplier there are a few things you should look for: ✅ Competitive Pricing: Ensure the scheme is genuinely affordable for employees. Note: the companies that come up on Google all price against each other, so look outside the inner circle. ✅ Strong Support: The right partner will guide both you and your employees through every step, from initial interest to delivery and beyond. With the right supplier in place, a salary sacrifice EV scheme can deliver huge benefits… Attraction & Retention: Offering an EV scheme is a powerful addition to your benefits package, helping to attract and retain top talent. Financial Benefits for the Business: Companies can reduce their National Insurance contributions, and with the right scheme, these savings can be significant. Sustainability Impact: Supporting the transition to EV’s can contribute to your company’s carbon reduction goals, boosting your green credentials. I have vetted the salary sacrifice industry, been burned myself stuck in an expensive lease in a previous role, and only work with the best provider for cost and service. If you’d like to know more about how to implement a cost-effective and impactful scheme, I’m here to help, pop me a DM. #salarysacrifice #salsac #employeebenefit #electriccar #electricvehicle #ev #evcharging #netzero #sustainability

Imagine a world where the ICE was introduced now, if everyone was used to EV for 100 years. The same people that are reluctant to accept EV now, would feel multiple times worse if it was the other way around. If electric vehicles were the norm, evertone had one and was used to them, and suddenly, an internal combustion engine vehicle was introduced. The backlash would be unbelievable 🤯 Here’s why: Cost: EV’s have been affordable, low-maintenance, and reliable for over a century. Then suddenly, we’re told we now have to pay more for a car that’s less efficient. Not to mention the skyrocketing fuel costs. Why would anyone willingly switch to a system that demands constant, expensive refills of gasoline or diesel? More Moving Parts, More Problems: EV’s are incredibly simple with far fewer parts that wear out, making them durable and easy to maintain. Enter the ICE engine with its complicated components, constant need for repair, and high maintenance costs. It's like stepping backward into a time when cars were more trouble than they were worth. Fueling Inconvenience: Imagine having to stop at a gas station every few hundred miles. In an era where EV were mainly charged at home, charging stations are convenient and widespread, we would be furious about the time wasted and inconvenience of refueling at gas stations, especially considering it’s not only more expensive but also far less efficient than simply plugging in and charging at home. Environmental Impact: After 100 years of clean, emissions-free driving, ICE vehicles would be seen as not only inefficient but also pollutants. The environmental damage they cause, from harmful emissions to contributing to climate change, would feel like a serious setback for a planet we’ve worked hard to protect. Efficiency: EV’s run on electricity, which is far more efficient than gasoline or diesel. The shift to ICE engines would feel wasteful, burning fuel for far less energy output. It would be hard to understand why anyone would tolerate such inefficiency when better, cleaner options exist. Driving Experience: EV’s are known for their smooth, quiet, and responsive driving experience. ICE engines, in comparison, are noisy, jerky, and sluggish. The idea of switching back to such a less refined driving experience would be unimaginable after a century of EV’s setting the bar. In a world where EV’s have been the standard for a century, ICE vehicles would be seen for exactly what they are: outdated, inefficient, and a step backward. #electriccar #electricvehicle #engine #car #netzero #sustainability #greenerfuture

EV drivers spending £85m to charge publically it has been revealed⚡️ Electric vehicle drivers are set to pay an extra £85m in VAT when using public chargers in the UK this year, thanks to the disparity in VAT rates between home and public charging. While home users enjoy a reduced VAT rate of just 5%, businesses, including public charging operators, face the full 20% VAT rate. This creates a hidden “pavement tax” that many in the industry say is holding back the transition from fossil fuels. According to Zapmap, this additional VAT cost is expected to rise to £315m by 2030, as EV’s become a larger share of new car sales under the government's zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) mandate. Industry leaders, like Eurig Druce from Stellantis, warn that this creates a two-tier system, where those with driveways benefit from lower charging costs while those reliant on public chargers are penalized. Quentin Willson, founder of the FairCharge campaign, calls this disparity a "bizarre and conspicuous policy omission" and urges the government to reduce VAT on public charging to support the UK’s electrification goals. In contrast, the government recently froze fuel duty for petrol and diesel cars, at a cost of £2bn, leading to criticism from environmental groups. Eliminating the VAT gap on EV charging would be a small but meaningful step towards leveling the playing field and accelerating the transition to cleaner transport. Delvin Lane, CEO of InstaVolt, has pledged to pass on any potential VAT savings to customers through lower prices. #electriccar #electricvehicle #ev #evcharging #evcharger #netzero #sustainability #greenerfuture

Trump halts EV charge in the US ⚡️ The Trump administration has instructed U.S. states to halt the $5 billion electric vehicle charging station program, a significant step back for the environmental movement since his return to the White House. In a memo issued Thursday, the Federal Highway Administration ordered states to suspend any spending allocated under the Biden administration’s National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program. This includes the suspension of all State Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment plans for all fiscal years until new guidance is issued. This decision has raised concerns, with critics like Andrew Rogers, former deputy FHWA administrator, arguing that the memo might be in violation of federal law, including the Impoundment Control Act of 1974, which restricts withholding congressionally approved funding. As of now, 14 states have at least one operational EV station, and the NEVI program has helped fund the development of over 3,560 fast-charging ports in more than 890 locations. Yet, this development could impact progress on a greener future. What’s next? The FHWA’s guidance may soon be updated, but for now, states are left in a holding pattern while EV infrastructure growth is paused. #electriccar #electricvehicle #usa #evcharging #trump #netzero #sustainability
