The latest in-depth analysis, political commentary and opinion from the UK Parliament's weekly magazine

About us

The House magazine is part of the fabric of Westminster, carrying Parliament’s emblem – the crowned Portcullis – and is delivered directly into the pigeon-holes of both Westminster Houses. Founded in 1976 by a cross-party group of MPs, The House has spent more than 40 years shining a light on events in Parliament, featuring a mix of exclusive interviews, policy debates, intel and expert analysis. Received by every MP and Peer, with exclusive parliamentarian interviews, unique MP/Peer articles, regular columns, gossip, diaries and reviews, it is packed with stories that will interest all those inside and outside Westminster. Totally impartial, The House is published weekly whilst parliament sits, presenting a mix of news, profiles, interviews and comprehensive policy analysis as well as extensive commentary which gets under the skin of Parliament. With an MP as editor, a cross-party parliamentary Editorial Board and written largely by MPs and Peers for their fellow Members, The House is closer than any other political magazine to the most powerful people in UK politics.
