The Maidstone Distillery

Super proud to finally announce this exciting project! We have developed a bespoke gin for Elitepubs (Kent) Ltd and their new venture Wildshark Vineyard. We relished the challenge of translating their gorgeous grapes into a gin. The label, designed by their expert team, features the pinot gris grapes, honey and wildflowers distilled in this wonderfully unique gin. We are thrilled to know that, from this weekend, every guest at Wildshark Vineyard can enjoy this exceptionally distinct and delicious gin. Go team!

TRADE SHOW 👋🍸 I’m in Ashford today at the Page and Sons Trade Show, hosted at the awe inspiring Curious Brewery. It’s lovely to be meeting new people and see familiar faces at these events. Pubs, restaurants, retail, they are all interested in showcasing local producers and serving something unique to their customers. Every spirit maker in Kent is here and it’s a great experience to have a chat with them too and see how everything’s going. DOUBLE AWARD WINNERS! 🏆🏆Throw back to when we won twice at last year’s Beautiful South Tourism Awards! I haven’t posted about this yet, I think due to the fact the awards were over the festive period which is by far the busiest and most hectic time of year for us (and everyone else in retail or hospitality!). But here is the team at the Brighton Grand hotel, celebrating winning silver awards for Experience of the Year and Small Visitor Attraction of the Year. Heres Darren and I with our Front of House team and Marketing Manager. Front of House are absolutely storming it, I couldn’t be prouder. Under the leadership of Sandra Kent the team is receiving weekly five star reviews for the general visitor experience and our three different distillery experiences. They are well attended and the team convert each visitor into mini Maidstone Distillery brand ambassadors by sharing with them our passion, history and craft. Well done team!! 👏

WE’RE GREAT TASTE PRODUCERS! 👩🍳 I’m proud to say that last year our Sharp’s Toffee Liqueur was awarded a Great Taste Award for the third year running, meaning we’re now officially Great Taste Producers! We hadn’t actually realised that three years in a row automatically grants us this accolade but we’re now very proud of it. We’re real perfectionists with everything we make and do (maybe too much so sometimes!) but this approach seems to have paid off and led to some really positive feedback. We always knew we wanted to make gins but this toffee liqueur has become far more popular than we ever dreamed it would….
