Happy Birthday to Ludlow Distillery! 7 years today since I had a crazy idea to start Ludlow Gin 🎂🎉🥳 🗓️ As 2024 draws to a close, it’s good to remember what an incredible year it’s been! The team and I are so grateful for all your incredible support, this is what you’ve helped us achieve: 🏡🏭 Our first full year in our new home and distillery at Ludlow Farmshop, we’ve loved welcoming you – our amazing tribe – to browse our gift shop, enjoy a drink in our bar, take a distillery tour, or create your own gin at our Gin School; over 300 gins were made! 🤩 Olive magazine featured our no.4 ‘pink gin’ as one of the UK’s best gins! 🏆 We won a prestigious Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award! 💪We launched our expanded our single malt whisky range at the Soho Whisky Club to great acclaim! 🍷We rebranded our wholesale wine company Ludlow Fine Wines and hosted our first public wine tastings at three venues across the region. 🍊🍋We launched four delicious fruit gins and two tempting winter liqueurs, and introduced the first release of our Ultimate Cocktail Collection – an epic Negroni! 🏆 🏆🏆 We also celebrated success at the Great British Food Awards, bringing home three fantastic accolades, including sharing the winners’ rostrum with the recent winner of the best single malt in the World Whisky Awards! 🙏 It’s been a whirlwind year, and we’re truly grateful to each and every one of you for your unwavering love and support on our journey. My old boss popped in to see me, Kelvin the Rector of Ludlow. Six years ago I started distilling Ludlow gin, Kelvin had faith that this would be a great move for me, and supported me as I changed careers after 20+ years working for the Church of England. We had some time to remember our late colleague Stephen, an incredible mentor to me, he ran one of the oldest building firms in the UK, hugely supportive and full of wisdom. Stephen jumped in the car when I started my first commercial distillation, popped down to our distillery and we enjoyed that moment as a friends. He’s with us in spirit as this week we’ve lit our still in our new distillery; I can hear his infectious enthusiasm now!

Six years ago I jumped ship from my day job and career of 20+years. No regrets, this week we finally started the process of distilling whisky and cider brandy at our new distillery, it’s been a long journey over a short time. Thank you to everyone who has supported us, and particularly my team. 🙏🙏
