Winding down for the start of the Christmas break just wanted to say thanks to our The Point of Care Foundation family for all they have achieved this year our team our #SchwartzRound mentors our #Schwartz community our #Experiencesofcare associates and alumni community our #HumanisingCareFellows and our partnering organisations and our Trustees. Our office is closed from Monday 23rd and back on January 2nd wishing you all a peaceful time 🎄🎉

🎄This festive season, we’re reminded of how food brings us together – with friends and family, and even at work. At Schwartz Rounds, sharing a meal or refreshments before the session isn’t just a nice touch – it’s an integral part of the experience. It’s about slowing down, connecting with colleagues, and creating a space where staff feel cared for and valued. But with increasing financial pressures, the ritual of providing food is under threat in some organisations. Even a simple cup of tea and a biscuit can make a difference to show appreciation and give staff a moment to breathe. We're delighted to announce the testing phase of our improvement framework for ICSs, created in collaboration with Care Quality Commission and National Voices, is now complete 🎉 This phase highlighted opportunities to improve the framework to better meet the needs of ICSs for improving health inequalities. A massive thank you to the four ICSs who volunteered to test the framework. We are currently incorporating the feedback to ensure the framework is practical and has a real impact on people and communities. 🗓️ The framework and accompanying guidance will launch as part of a dedicated virtual event on 12 February 2025. It was inspiring to attends this years’ The Point of Care Foundation Conference yesterday. Where I was joined by colleagues across the UK to hear more about how we can further embed Schwartz Rounds into health and social care, HE, and many more industries. We had the privilege to hear from keynote speaker Dr Jonathan Osborn CDir, Trustee of Doctors in Distress whom shared brilliant insights into creating and sustaining compassionate leadership and cultures in the NHS and what DiD can offer. There is lots to take back to our Schwartz Round steering group at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust so that we can further support staff health and wellbeing. #nhs #schwartzrounds #doctorsindistress #healthandwellbeing #healthcare #support #mentalhealth #prevention

Thank you to The Point of Care Foundation for a brilliantly supportive, thought-provoking Community of Care conference in London today. So good to spend time exploring how to create and sustain compassionate cultures.
