We were thrilled to welcome Terry Jermy MP for South Norfolk to The QEH today to talk through more about plans for a New QEH and the Government’s updated implementation plan for the New Hospital Programme. We remain committed to working closely with the national programme to ensure the hospital opens as close to 2030 as possible. Terry met CEO Alice Webster, New QEH Programme Director Peter Cox and Chief Operating Officer Simon Illingworth.

☎️ Volunteers make friendly calls to patients ahead of appointments ☎️ A team of five enthusiastic volunteers are calling patients to remind them of their important hospital appointments. The new volunteer-led appointment reminding service at The QEH, which started in October, is helping patients to feel confident in attending and answer any questions they may have. Don’t miss your chance to hop on board the WOW Bus! 🚌 Over the coming weeks, the WOW bus will be traveling for miles across Norfolk and Waveney to support those who need extra help with their health and care. Services that are currently offered on the bus will vary between vaccinations, screening along with health and financial advice. The WOW bus is supported by partner organisations across the ICS, including NHS Norfolk and Waveney, Norfolk County Council, the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector and others. If you see the WOW bus, make sure you hop onboard! Please note vaccinations will be available from 10am until 3pm. The WoW bus will be on site 10am until 4pm unless indicated otherwise. Temporary Roadworks for Improved Bus Access: Until 11 April, Norfolk County Council will be carrying out roadworks on Gayton Road to enhance bus service routes. Temporary closures will be in place at night, but please be assured that you can still access the QEH site via the service road. This will bring you directly to the main car park. These works will improve accessibility, including the creation of a new zebra crossing and resurfacing of the carriageway.
