About us
The Royal Highland Education Trust (RHET) is an educational charity that aims to provide the opportunity for every child in Scotland to learn about food, farming and the countryside, and to create a wider understanding of the environmental, economic and social realities of rural Scotland. RHET currently reaches 1 in 8 children in Scotland and aims to be reaching 1 in 4 by 2020. All RHET products and services are FREE and they include: - Farm visits and outdoor education events across Scotland - Classroom speaker talks by volunteer farmers - Educational resource materials for schools - Competitions and projects for schools - Training farmers, volunteers and teachers in the delivery of information relating to food and farming - The Royal Highland Show education programme and RHET Children’s Discovery Centre

We need your help, our afternoons are looking particularly light of helpers. During 4 days of the Royal Highland Show, RHET run various activities for visiting school groups and general public. From arts and crafts, wheat seed grinding, baking, cooking, milking our fibreglass cow and so much more, there’s something for all ages. We are looking for enthusiastic people to lend us a helping hand for a minimum of 2.5hrs between the hours of 9am-5pm In recognition for your time, we will provide you with a free ticket to access the showground, giving you plenty time to enjoy the rest of the show! We also have refreshments available to keep you fuelled up for your day at the Royal Highland Show. We provide information, videos, access to a dedicated online source that details what each session will involve.
