  • Thanks to funding from the RNRMC and the Royal Navy Royal Marines Sports Lottery - selected Fleet Air Arm (FAA) became sporting ambassadors for the Malaya Cup match in Guernsey. This historic event, contested annually since 1963 against the Guernsey Football Association, forms part of the HMS Charybdis and HMS Limbourne Memorial Weekend. The weekend was not just about competition; it integrated ceremonial and engagement activities, showcasing the FAA’s commitment to remembrance and outreach with squad members attending the Memorial Dinner, and the solemn Memorial Service at Les Foulons Cemetery.

  • As part of a training and development weekend, Lt Given successfully organised a team-building event for the RNR QARNNS and AHP, offering both an enjoyable and engaging experience. The evening began with a vibrant Edinburgh street food experience, including tacos, burgers, haggis balls, bao buns, and ice cream, providing an opportunity for team members to relax and connect. The activities included axe throwing, which none had tried before. Despite the challenge, it was a highlight, with PONN Patel emerging as the champion. Mini-golf followed, with unconventional twists like slingshots and bats, keeping the fun flowing. This event, filled with teamwork and camaraderie, was made possible with a grant from RNRMC.
