🎙️ “If we solve the issues with materials then we could solve a lot of issues in additive manufacturing, and beyond additive manufacturing.” In our latest instalment of the Innovators on Innovators podcast series, Alexander Pluke, of Additive Flow and Nano Dimension, quizzes Atomik AM CEO Prof Kate Black FREng on materials and sustainability in manufacturing. With a focus on solutions-focused thinking, the pair explore the limitations of one-size-fits-all materials, the opportunities that microstructure control at voxel level could open up, and the overpromises made by the AM market. “Let’s use all these weird and wonderful technologies that are at our hands but apply a different thinking process and different mindset.
