Working for two hotels under two different brands can sometimes be challenging and sometimes feels like you should be coming up with new and different ideas for each one. But there’s no reason why you can’t apply one concept to both, just executed differently. 5 months ago I created a Children’s Activity Book for DoubleTree by Hilton Stoke-on-Trent to give out to our families that come to stay over the summer holidays. The DoubleTree is a family friendly hotel, we are surrounded by lots of child friendly tourist attractions and constantly have families stay with us during half term, so this was the perfect print to create. However also working for The Welcombe Hotel BW Premier Collection opened my eyes to a completely different audience. Most of our guests are wanting a more chilled weekend, making use of our spa facilities or going on long walks through The Welcombe Hills, which resulted in the idea of a Paw Passport. We knew a Children’s Activity Book wouldn’t get the exact same reaction at The Welcombe as The DoubleTree, and it is important to understand what your audience would appreciate, so we needed to come up with something that would appeal to them. With The Welcombe being a dog friendly hotel with scenic walks right on our door step, literally… the entrance to The Welcombe Hills is in our car park… it stood out to us that we needed something to target those dog mums & dads🐾 The Paw Passport is a small booklet with a large amount of information. Ranging from dog friendly attractions, to walk routes, to emergency contact details and even a page to stamp a paw print, it is the ‘perfect little guide to a dog friendly staycation’ 🐶🐾 I am super proud of this one, which will be available to guests in the new year!✨ #thewelcombehotel #dogfriendlystays #staycation #dogfriendlyhotel #pawpassport #stratforduponavon
