We are entering the season where giving is very much on our minds. For many years I've been able to give micro loans to entrepreneurs around the world through Lendwithcare, they pay them back at an achievable pace and at affordable amounts every few months. You can review the proposals and pledge your money - from £15 upwards - to the entrepreneur of your choice. I tend to support women entrepreneurs and people who cross into my other areas of interest, such as small farming concerns. If you'd like to get started with Lendwithcare, click to use this referral code to get a £15 free credit to get you started: https://lnkd.in/ebh7Y3dY Today I've given a loan to Darwin Rolando in Ecuador. Due to the current economic and social instability in Ecuador, the country is experiencing record levels of regional displacement and migration which, for me, is an additional reason to try and support entrepreneurs in the country. Darwin, a 25 year old, single, entrepreneurial young man, lives with his mother in a town near the city of Loja, Ecuador. He has established a small business dedicated to raising farm chickens. Darwin began this business four years ago with his mother’s help, who donated his first 80 chickens. He manages a large corral at his mother’s house and spends two hours daily, morning and afternoon, tending to his animals. Additionally, he works as a masonry assistant, which allows him to supplement his monthly income. Darwin’s monthly income totals around £1,000. This includes about £300 from his masonry work and £700 from his small business. Every three months, he raises and sells 200 processed chickens in the market and his community, achieving a monthly profit of £260 from the business after covering costs. Thanks to his income, Darwin has been able to increase production and help with his mother’s household expenses, while saving towards his goal of continuing his studies and improving his quality of life. However, he faces the challenge of limited cash flow, as he recently invested in construction materials to upgrade the corral. With the requested loan, Darwin plans to purchase 200 farm chickens, balanced feed, and ground maize to ensure proper nutrition for his birds, and allocate a portion to corral maintenance. He is committed to repaying the loan in 18 monthly instalments. This support will enable him not only to expand his production but also to keep his dream of furthering his studies and achieving a professional career in the future. #lendwithcare #microloans #supportingentrepreneurs
