Do you work or volunteer for a charity or NGO? 94% of us are stressed, overwhelmed or burnt out. 94% of us are stressed, overwhelmed or burnt out. 94% of us are stressed, overwhelmed or burnt out. 94% of us are stressed, overwhelmed or burnt out. 94% of us are stressed, overwhelmed or burnt out. There are many other statistics about our sector as depressing as this, but this one in particular plays over in my head. Look around in your team meetings. This statistic implies that almost EVERYONE is struggling. What are we doing about it? Truly, what are we doing? A workplace wellbeing policy is only effective if we take the words off the page and put them into action. Let me help. Book a The Joyful Activists® virtual workshop to start your 2025 with an honest, reflective, collaborative conversation about wellbeing in your workplace. Non-judgemental, trauma-informed, compassionate and research-led. You'll come away with a collective understanding of where your team is currently thriving or struggling, a shared language to use in 1:1s and team meetings, and practical, somatic and joyful tools and activities to use in and out of the workplace. You'll be sending a clear message to your team that their wellbeing is a priority, not an afterthought. Book a free 30-minute discovery call to tell me about your work, your team and your support needs. I'd love to meet you. Is it possible to lower stress levels end of year? Or better wait for the new-year-new-me kind of vibe? (to then set over-ambitious new goals that are hard to commit to?) If you've reached your annual high stress threshold, join me the upcoming Wednesdays (12-1pm WET, 1-2pm CET) in a series of online masterclasses to: ◌ Deepen your body intelligence through a blend of neuroscience & somatic tools ◌ Understand your operating system (nervous system) ◌ Tune into high body awareness (key for regulation) ◌ Learn where deep-seated stress is stored in the body (posture & fascia) and how to release it Signup link in comments & send me a DM if you're curious and ready! 💙

  • Our friends at Young Activists Summit are hosting the 2024 Young Activists Summit on 19 November 2024 at the United Nations in Geneva, and you’re invited to attend virtually!⁣ ⁣ 📅 19 November - 10:00 – 12:00 CET⁣ ⁣⁣ This year, the theme of the summit is “Go Far, Go Together”. The theme is inspired by the African proverb “If you want to go fast, go alone. ⁣If you want to go far, go together”. It reminds us that change is possible when we work in groups and movements to achieve a common goal.⁣ ⁣ #YAS24 will shine a spotlight on five activists who have successfully mobilised individuals or communities and delivered concrete results.⁣ ⁣ Driving change through the power of the collective can also mean petitions to urge parliaments to pass new laws, consumers boycotting big polluting companies,⁣ or creating movements to improve a given situation or tackle a specific problem.⁣ ⁣ 💌 Register here: https://lnkd.in/enVBqw_Q ⁣ The Young Activists Summit (YAS) raises awareness of human rights and environmental activism. As a global youth platform, it drives impact on the ground and culminates in an event honoring the most effective⁣ activists (laureates) every year at the United Nations in Geneva (Switzerland).⁣ The Official Summit will be streamed live in English, French, Spanish, and Bengali to reach youth around the globe. ⁣ #youngactivistssummit #collectiveaction #thejoyfulactivists

Climate Cafe: Tending to our distress, anxiety and grief in the face of crisis. Our next Wellbeing Workshop will focus on the impact of the climate crisis on our wellbeing. The intention for our workshop is to create a space for community support to hold these overwhelming feelings together. • We’re honoured to be part of the Time for Better #WomenLeadingOnClimate campaign this year. As the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) unfolds from November 11-22 in Baku, Azerbaijan, we’re spotlighting this year’s powerful theme: *Investing In A Liveable Planet for All.*⁣ ⁣ With global temperatures at record highs and extreme weather events becoming the new norm, bold climate action from leaders, governments, businesses, and civil society is more urgent than ever.⁣ ⁣ Did you know that women are 2.5x more likely to engage on climate issues and 60% more likely to advocate for social good?  ⁣ Women are at the forefront of the fight for a sustainable future, taking on the tough duality of leading change while being disproportionately impacted by climate’s harshest effects.⁣ ⁣ This dual challenge can take a toll on wellbeing and mental health. That’s why we’re committed to supporting women’s resilience and advocating for this campaign.  ⁣ The Joyful Activists® is a global wellbeing community dedicated to activists, humanitarians, and changemakers. ⁣ ⁣ Our vision is a world which prioritises the wellbeing of activists, so activists can keep prioritising the wellbeing of the world  ⁣ We only have one world. Let’s call on our leaders to step up and protect it. It’s time. ⁣ ⁣ #WomenLeadingOnClimate #COP29

  • How can we support your wellbeing right now? We'd love to hear your thoughts. It's easy for the world to say 'mental health matters' and 'it's okay not to be okay', but we'd love to know what is tangibly helpful to you in times of challenge and crisis. Vote below and comment with any other ideas - the poll only allows four options but we know there will be many other things we can do. #thejoyfulactivists
