Ilija Mitrev Penushliski, a partner in the Paris office of Three Crowns LLP, will speak at the third edition of the VIAC CAN Congress. Luke Sobota, partner in the Washington, DC office of Three Crowns LLP will speak on a panel titled “Switzerland, the USA and the EU: Diverging Paths in Investment Arbitration” organized by the Georgetown International Arbitration Society (GIAS) and hosted by the Embassy of Switzerland in the United States of America. The panel will explore the future of arbitration from a transatlantic perspective, focusing on the roles of Switzerland and the USA. It will address the EU’s growing skepticism, marked by the European Court of Justice’s decision against enforcing intra-EU arbitration awards, challenging arbitration’s role in resolving disputes.
