🫁 Today marks World COPD Day Our latest research campaign has revealed that while 87% of Brits have heard of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), over 50% don't understand its causes or symptoms. This is particularly alarming given that COPD is the 3rd leading cause of death in the UK. 🔹 Costing the NHS £2 billion annually to manage, COPD is the name for a group of lung conditions including emphysema and chronic bronchitis. 🔹 It is estimated that 1.2 million Brits are already living with the condition, and its prevalence is expected to increase by 40 per cent over the next six years. 🔹 Our research campaign shows that 20% of people would wait a month or longer before seeking treatment for symptoms. We must work together to bridge this critical awareness gap — early detection and intervention are crucial for managing COPD and improving patient outcomes. The key risk factors we need to be aware of include smoking, air pollution, asthma, and genetic predisposition. Understanding these factors is crucial for prevention and early intervention. Together, we can make a difference in respiratory health awareness and patient care. COPD and Asthma affect nearly 10% of the global population, with COPD now listed as the 3rd leading cause of death worldwide. Yet advances in respiratory care management have not kept up pace. Late and inaccurate diagnosis of respiratory conditions drives billions in healthcare costs through exacerbations and hospitalizations, many of which are preventable. TidalSense is addressing this gap with cutting-edge, AI-driven diagnostic and monitoring solutions tailored for respiratory conditions like COPD and asthma. Their flagship device, N-Tidal Diagnose™, offers a quick, point-of-care diagnostic process that combines N-Tidal’s advanced respiratory biomarkers with real-time AI interpretation. In under five minutes, healthcare providers receive an accurate diagnosis, with minimal training required, helping to bridge the gap between early detection and timely care. Want to learn more about TidalSense? Catch Ameera Patel’s full video presentation from LSI Europe ‘24 on our website and YouTube channel. As a proud British business on a mission to make a global difference, we are honoured to be participating in the Commonwealth at 75 campaign, which launches tonight at Westminster Abbey. The campaign seeks to recognise the Commonwealth’s vital contribution to international cooperation over the past 75 years, and to highlight its ongoing importance in fostering collaboration and trade links between people, businesses and nations all over the world. With the upcoming launch of our N-Tidal diagnostic platform, we’re setting out to revolutionise the way the world diagnoses chronic respiratory diseases. We believe that associations like the Commonwealth can play a crucial role in making this journey possible. COPD and asthma are debilitating conditions that negatively impact quality of life for hundreds of millions of people worldwide. Without better diagnostic pathways, there is a real danger that many countries will soon find themselves unable to support the economic and societal burden of respiratory disease. We’re intent on solving this problem by building technology which offers a step-change in the speed and accessibility of accurate diagnostic data. Our goal is to make this technology available to healthcare systems and practitioners everywhere, which is why we’re delighted to join the Commonwealth at 75 campaign and stand alongside other groundbreaking organisations seeking to deliver pronounced, positive change on a global scale. A big thank you to the History of Parliament Trust for inviting us to participate in this wonderful initiative and for featuring us in The Commonwealth at 75 official commemorative album. We’re looking forward to seeing you all at the Abbey tonight. #Commowealth #Commonwealth75

🫁 World Lung Day 🫁 Respiratory diseases are on the rise, affecting one in five people in the UK alone. In fact, lung disease is now the third biggest cause of death in the country. The scariest part? A staggering two-thirds of people with COPD don't even know they have it, meaning they are missing out on vital treatment. With other respiratory conditions like asthma and even lung cancer often going undiagnosed, it's more important than ever to pay attention to your lung health. To mark World Lung Day Dr Gabriel Lambert - Director of Clinical and Commercial Development at TidalSense - is urging everyone to be aware of the signs of poor lung health.
