The latest 🎙️VC Friday with Esther🎙️ is with Bulëza Koci, the CEO and Founder of DRYM Health. The recent emergence of the first over-the-counter continuous glucose monitoring devices (#CGM) is acting as a further catalyst for the convergence of consumer and medical technologies. The work Bulëza Koci is doing on personalised health and performance optimisation is a great example of how such technologies are being used outside their core medical space. In this discussion Esther & Bulëza talk about: - DRYM Health approach to delivering personalised health and well-being - The power of holistic data integration - The role of communities in making a health optimisation journey more accessible and impactful - New health data and biometrics that could soon be integrated for further learnings Tatum Getty |Pamela Walker Geddes | Rod Lane | Saran Davies |Jack Adshead | Veronika Bridgman | Linda Vlasaku | Kitty Bhaman | Anna Linderum Thomsen | Ksenia Kokareva | Katherine Ireland | Shahreen J. | Kari Chaudhry

#AI is reshaping entrepreneurship from the ground up - from macroeconomics to workplace integration and business creation. Last week, THENA Capital’s Dr Saran Davies chaired a pivotal event on the future of AI in entrepreneurship with three wonderful experts at University of Oxford Jesus College Oxford Mo Tanweer, Umbar Shakir, and Toby Velte each brought unique insights on how AI will shape #entrepreneurship in the future. Our main takeaways: 🔋 AI’s macroeconomic impact is HUGE - beyond boosting productivity, as we build more AI infrastructure this may reshape supply chains, drive energy demands, and increase reliance on rare earth materials for chips 💼 Workplace transformation is in our hands - AI integration gives us the opportunity to shift from graft to craft, automating the mundane so we can optimise creativity and problem-solving 📊 AI-powered businesses are the future - but while AI can unlock groundbreaking insights, we need to be cognisant of ethical challenges around data use and bias We were also joined by a whole host of industry representatives from the #innovation and #investment ecosystem including Gate One Incubator’s Jack Adshead | BIPC Oxfordshire (Business & Intellectual Property Centre, Oxford) | Oxford Entrepreneurs | Oxonian Ventures | Oxford Saïd Entrepreneurship Centre | Oxford Seed Fund | Henley Business Angels | Oxford Capital | Founders & Funders | Oxford Generative AI Summit | Creator Fund | University of Oxford AI Network | Oxbridge-AIx | ZERO Founders Network - University of Oxford | EnSpire Oxford | Oxbridge-AIx A massive thanks to Eve Bodniece, the Jesus College team, and Pamela Walker Geddes for making this such a thought-provoking event! This week, we joined the HealthTech Breakfast Club hosted by AlbionVC’s Molly Gilmartin leading a roundtable discussion around the future of healthcare delivery in the UK amongst the #VC #HealthTech ecosystem. With the NHS 10 year plan set to focus on shifts to community care, focus on prevention and a move to digital, industry experts brought perspective on the use of independent providers and the ‘patient choice’ framework. From strategic, operational, procurement and delivery considerations, there was both a mix of optimism and hesitation for the future of healthcare delivery in the UK. Thank you to Susannah Clearly of NHS, Lawrence Tallon of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, Daniel Peck of Efficio, Martin Fiddock Oviva and Brett Cowell of Healios for an enlightening and collaborative morning.
