5 types of employees benefits you should be deploying in 2025 to support your Physical Wellbeing Strategy: 1/ Link Charitable Giving to Employee Movement Many organisations, give money to charities each year without employees knowing. Simply, reward employees with micro-reward ££ which they can donate __ 2/ Reward Employees Directly The ROI of physically active employees is significant (reduced absenteeism, higher engagement, etc.) Rewards employees with ££ each week in which they can exchange it for e-vouchers. The great news is, this sits under trivial-benefits so doesn't attract benefit-in-kind tax __ 3/ Movement Champions Identify those in your business who love moving and help them amplify the benefits. This doesn't mean 'runners' - but those who love walking. You'll get quick wins such as: - lunchtime walking club - immediate passion from employees - channel to amplify what you are doing __ 4/ Focused movement campaign Create a moment in time when the business seriously 'amplifies' movement with senior leadership involvement. How tips: - Select a key moment in the year (kick-off/national week) - Communicate at least six weeks prior - Deploy multiple initiatives over at least 4 weeks to show true intent __ 5/ Deploy an annual programme Give employees the tools to create an active work life balance through an always on movement programme which is all-inclusive. Areas to focus: - Focus on the least active (what will appeal) - Create a calendar of hosted events - Enable teams to compete in a hybrid world (they choose how/when) - Focus on 'Time' not 'Distance' - Embed the above 4 points __ Key reminders to take into 2025: - Focus on the inclusiveness of movement - Enable employees to come together without being together - Embed your values & social focus into the programme P.S. Employees can be directly impacted by the actions of others - in such a positive way. The implementation of the Egis Active Hub has empowered Shaun Mcleod to create a more active lifestyle. Not only that, it has created closer engagement with his colleagues. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬? Feeling underwhelmed by the impact of subsidised gym discounts? I'm not surprised. Providing gym discounts as your core physical health benefit for your employees... - isn't inclusive; only 16% of the UK population actually have membership - isn't flexible; location, opening times, classes don't suit everyone - isn't measurable; visits maybe but what they do - unknown For physical movement benefits to make an impact in a business you need to consider the followed: 1/ make it inclusive movement is a personal thing and there are hundreds of way to move - dance, football, swim, table tennis, golf, the list goes on. Focus on supporting every form of movement in your business 2/ make it accessible Not everyone has the time, resources, or confidence to access traditional fitness options. Build opportunities for movement into the workday; walking meetings, standing desks, active breaks, or virtual movement challenges can help employees stay active without additional barriers. 3/ make it measurable Track participation and outcomes to understand the impact. Use tools and platforms that provide insights into how employees engage with movement activities and link these to tangible benefits, like improved productivity, reduced absenteeism, or higher employee satisfaction. 4/ make it part of your culture Movement shouldn’t feel like a “nice-to-have” add-on; it should be part of your organisation’s DNA. Celebrate movement through events, ambassadors, education and highlight everyday opportunities that inspire employees to take part. 💬 How does your business encourage movement? From nothing to marathons 💥 This is the power employer's have with their employees. At the beginning of 2024, Katie Hopkins joined the Total Active Hub team at the National Running Show inspired by the Acer Active Hub following her first movement challenge on the platform. Over the past 12 months Katie has: >> started a weekly parkrun routine >> participated in regular challenges on the Active Hub >> completed her first half marathon And....has now signed up to her first marathon Katie was buzzing just by talking about her running journey, explaining how she feels, how her face glows after a cold run and how enjoying a night out and running helps create a great life balance. Talking to Katie highlights why I started this journey and why the amazing Total Active Hub team keep uncovering similar stories. Check out more success stories: https://lnkd.in/erYqdDUa P.S. if you're a leader who have the power to inspire movement with your employees. When we say we 'create active engaged communities' this is exactly what this photo highlights. We had the pleasure of co-hosting the South Western Railway annual People & Culture conference which was focused on the importance of movement. The full morning session focused on: 1/ Getting active (see picture below) 2/ The Science behind movement 3/ The physical, mental and hidden benefits of movement 4/ Promoted the SWR Active Hub 5/ Launched their annual movement event - Move for 30: Active Trees Following this, the team had a fantastic talk from 5 x Olympian Mark Foster; which highlighted the importance of just doing it - you either try something or you don't. SWR don't just tick a physical wellbeing box, they've embedded movement into the culture of the organisations with: > monthly events > walking clubs > gym & active discounts > 5-a-side tournaments > monthly webinars to support employees. Great work South Western Railway - we look forward to the next year ahead together. #MoveMore #MoveFor30 #Transport #Trains

We've empowered organisations to travel the world together through our movement programmes over the past 4 years. It has allowed us to create 'real' employee engagement within organisations whilst reducing MSK & absenteeism costs. Today is another special day for the Total Active Hub team; having signed up a truly global organisation: > present in over 180 countries > supporting over 100,000 customers > with over 24,000 employees Over the coming months, we'll be deploying our market leading movement programme which focuses on activity and every level of fitness - our strategy is simple: > We want employees to simply Move More If you're wanting to create an Active Engaged Community, here's the strategy we use: 1. Start with movement first, don't worry about leaderboards 2. Celebrate every type of movement 3. Bring people together into teams 4. Bring users to life Once you're up and running, move onto connecting your community: 1. Link in your charities 2. Donate money when employees move each week Finally, don't STOP! > the benefits of movement don't stay with you, so keep everyone moving ---- P.S. never underestimate the power of physical movement, it's not called the 'miracle cure' for nothing. Looking to reduce absenteeism or drive greater employee engagement, then drop a meeting into my diary and I'll run through the secret further: https://lnkd.in/eDzJvzep
