Today, we wrapped up a bumper month of festive celebrations with the announcement of our Employee of the Year. Our In-house Actuary, Ged Callan, was named Employee of the Month back in April for his development and creation of a brand new online modelling tool for our defined contribution pension scheme members. A company-wide vote singled out his hard work and adaptability, earning him the top prize of £500. Congratulations, Ged! Earlier this week, we delivered a huge amount of food, kindly donated by our teams, to Leeds South and East Foodbank, helping to combat poverty and hunger in Leeds. And, of course, we got stuck into last week’s Christmas Jumper Day, with awards for overall best jumper, most festive jumper, and the furthest-travelled jumper. In among all of this, we’ve enjoyed lunchtime quizzes, daily raffles and a desk decorating contest – with our Member Engagement Team’s balloon fiesta taking the Judges’ Choice Award - all organised by our fantastic HR team and Employee Engagement Forum. Our Leeds office was bustling yesterday, as many of our colleagues came together for our festive business briefing.   Alongside positive updates from David Lane and Paddy Lye on business performance and key product developments, was Helen Taylor's update on some excellent people growth. Over 2023/24, we’ve promoted 34 members of the team, successfully trained four more pension administrators through our award-winning graduate training programme, and supported five cross-team moves. Helen also congratulated members of the team who have worked incredibly hard to achieve new qualifications – some with world-leading scores - including accountancy, auditing, financial analysis and computing. Well done, all! 🏆

We’ve now completed our final ‘giving back’ days before Christmas, having been welcomed once again by Wakefield Hospice. This time we visited the hospice’s donations centre, helping to sort and tag clothing, getting it ready to go on sale in their shops. Thank you to the hospice for providing us with further opportunities to support our local community. Our efforts now turn to much-needed food and supplies over the festive period, and we have collection banks set up for our teams to donate whatever they can throughout December. We’ll be delivering them to Leeds South and East Foodbank once again, and aiming to top last year’s 128.5kg of food! We’re delighted that, this year, we’ll be matching donations - for every box filled by our teams, we’ll fill a box, too. The team at TPT Investment Management has already dropped off its contributions, having collected food for Westminster Foodbank. Well done all! #givingback #teamwork

Our regular lunch and learn slot took a festive turn earlier this week, with colleagues from around the business making grinch gonks with professional crafter, Bernie. They’ve now been released into the office – we hope they don’t get up to any mischief!

Now is an exciting time for TPT, as we develop our strategy for growth and digital transformation, and we’re delighted that Paddy Lye has joined us to drive this forward, as Chief Operating Officer. Paddy will oversee our pensions administration, technology delivery, change management and supply chain and procurement functions, leading the development of our technology strategy and future growth plans.
