Happy International Women’s Day 💜 This year, we are proud to demonstrate the steps we are taking to #AccelerateAction for gender equality in line with our White Ribbon Accreditation. We have launched brand new initiatives to help keep women and girls safe on Greater Manchester’s transport network, including our Active Bystander campaign and partnership with StrutSafe. We are also continuing to work with GM partners, schools, and colleges, to find collective solutions and raise awareness of White Ribbon in the community. TfGM is committed to removing barriers for women and girls using public transport. Find out more about our White Ribbon Accreditation here: https://bit.ly/4hdGkU3

Our new campaign with the Safer Roads Greater Manchester partnership aims to warn drivers about the potentially life changing consequences of using mobile phone behind the wheel. Distractions can make drivers slower to recognise and react to dangers on the road. Using a mobile phone while driving is a significant cause of road traffic collisions in Greater Manchester, leading to death and life changing injury of drivers, passengers and others.
