Tridan Infrastructure New Production Control Offices 2024 – Part 2 This year has seen some major changes throughout the business and following on from the building of our new assembly area the next point of focus was the Production Control offices. With the current high demand on aerospace and defence work, this has increased the workload of Production Control and especially the requirements for additional paperwork and documentation that is essential with each part that we manufacture under our EN9100 certification. New Investment for Inspection Dept… Our latest investment to assist with the efficient running of our Inspection Department and shop floor is a 2nd CMM – A Mitutoyo Crysta-S Bridge Type CMM. This has a working area of 1600mm x 1800mm x 900mm, equipped with Renishaw TP20 touch probing and uses the latest PC-DMIS software. This will assist not only with 1st off inspection, but with patrol and final inspection requirements. It will help to ensure that we can continue to supply top quality conforming products direct to our customers assembly lines. To fit this new piece of equipment into Tridan, we have doubled the size of our Inspection Department and as such this will help the throughput of the machine shop and enables us to increase productivity and get more parts out to customers. AS9100 recertification Celebrating 17 years of certified excellence at Tridan! We are incredibly proud to announce that Tridan have successfully passed the recertification of our AS/EN9100 audit with BSI. This being our 17th AS audit in total! We passed this audit with only one very minor non-conformance (which didn’t involve product), a testament to the quality and continuous improvement from the team here at Tridan. The AS/EN9100 standard is tailored to suit our aerospace and defence work, however it has the added benefit of working across the whole company, so all parts manufactured at Tridan also conform to the exacting standards of AS/EN9100. New Capital Investment at Tridan Solar Power – Sept 2024 Tridan are excited to announce that we have now switched to Solar Power ☀️. The roof covering our 26,000m² factory is perfect for the sunnier climate that we enjoy at Clacton-on-Sea* Our installation comprises a total of 446 solar panels on a 200kwh system. This should generate between 45 – 60% of our power needs for the business, as well as feed back to the national grid as and when we are not using the power. Not only does this help offset our power requirements, but it is another step towards reducing our carbon footprint and our commitment to environmental sustainability.
