Trusted Family Relationships & Age Assurance Done Right. All Identities. All Ages. All Parents. One Solution.

About us

TrustElevate is a Child Verification and Parental Consent Provider that securely verifies the age or identity of users under the age of 16 so that businesses operate in compliance with regulation, enable digital parenting, build consumer trust, serve age-appropriate content, limit sexual contact between children and adults, and respect children’s rights. Founded by Dr. Rachel O’Connell in 2016, TrustElevate aims to make the online world safer for children by protecting them from harmful content and unwanted contact, while also ensuring their privacy and giving them the freedom to participate in the digital age. TrustElevate enables parents to know which apps their child is accessing, so they can open lines of communications with their child about their use of the app, decide on which data processors can process their child's data, approve or not a child's purchases. Working in partnership with BT and the UK government, TrustElevate became the first company in the world to successfully offer an age-verification solution to enable a child’s age and a parent or guardian’s assertion of parental responsibility to be securely and quickly confirmed on behalf of apps and platforms via their Telco using secure tokens. www.trustelevate.com

  • Australia Takes a Stand: Banning Social Media for Under 16s and the Fight for Safer Online Spaces I posted an article titled The Ideological Battleground: Australia's Social Media Ban, Section 230, the Precautionary Principle and the Future of Online Child Safety It explores Australia's landmark decision to ban social media for children under 16s and highlights the key debates surrounding online safety. Have you thought about the potential impacts? Key Points: - Australia's Ban: The world's first law banning social media for under-16s was announced in the same month as Australia's government announced tech trials for age verification across all age groups and for verifying parental responsibility to obtain verifiable parental consent will be conducted in Q1 2025. - The Precautionary Principle: This principle argues for preventive measures even without absolute scientific certainty, which Australia applies due to the potential dangers of social media for young minds. - Challenges to Section 230: Legal cases expose limitations of Section 230, a US law protecting tech companies from liability for user-generated content. - Data Access Barriers: Platforms resistance to sharing data crucial for research on the impact of social media. - The EU's Digital Services Act: This act aims to increase transparency and researcher access to data, potentially leading to better-informed policy decisions. - Hidden Realities - Data in abuse management systems subject to access by researchers in 2025 will uncover insights into the nature and scale of what children and young people encounter online and the regulatory vacuums that exist. -The Challenge of AI-Human Interaction: Researching the impact of AI on human behaviour requires new methodologies to capture the complex dynamics of interactions. - The Future of Online Safety - Australia's ban serves as a test case, with the EU's Digital Services Act paving the way for more data-driven policy making. https://lnkd.in/dhWWg_KX

  • Today, the line between the physical and virtual worlds is increasingly indistinct, leaving teenagers to face choices with profound consequences. Two seemingly unrelated behaviors—asking a stranger to buy alcohol and faking one’s age online to access adult content—highlight this reality. Though these actions appear different, they share a common thread: the allure of the forbidden and a willingness to take risks to obtain it. Adolescence is a time of curiosity, rebellion, and a thirst for experiences that challenge authority. For some, alcohol appeals because it is associated with social acceptance and fun. For others, the anonymity of the Internet fuels curiosity about adult content. Both scenarios, however, come with significant legal, emotional, and societal consequences. Underage drinking is illegal, as is providing alcohol to a minor, and can result in impaired judgment, health risks, and tragic accidents. Similarly, faking one’s age online violates terms of service, opens doors to legal liability, and can expose young minds to emotional harm, distorted perceptions of relationships, and even addiction. Despite these parallels, we often scrutinize the physical risks while overlooking the dangers lurking online. As parents, we diligently shield our children from tangible harm, but how are we addressing the less visible dangers of the digital world? This is where TrustElevate.com steps in. A leader in age verification, TrustElevate ensures accurate verification across all age groups and validates parental responsibility for children under 16. TrustElevate doesn’t rely on claimed relationships but confirms parental oversight by enabling verified parents to consent to data processing and purchases. With increasing regulations holding organizations accountable for their users—especially minors—verified age checks and parental oversight are no longer optional. Platforms implementing these safeguards protect themselves from legal risks while creating safer spaces for kids. A Safer Internet. Peace of Mind for Parents. Legal Compliance for Organizations. #verifiedrelationships #ageassurance #COPPA #GDPR #childsafety #onlinesafety

  • When you want to rent a car, an ID is required to verify your age, as many rental agencies have age restrictions on who can rent from them. Want to get into a bar or buy alcohol at a local convenience store? An ID is required to verify your age, and while fake IDs are not uncommon, modern technology (scanning, microchips, etc.) has made circumventing these age restrictions more challenging. What about online? Want to visit an adult website? Check the box that says "I am over 18" to enter. Want to set up an online gambling profile? You only need a credit card to deposit funds, which is not proof of age. Multiple examples exist of how the online world fails to meet the age requirements of the offline world, representing a significant threat to children and businesses. Thankfully, laws have been enacted to solve these issues and ensure children are better protected online. TrustElevate is at the forefront of the technological advancements in online security for children.  TrustElevate.com is the only global company that reliably verifies parent-child status to assure companies that they meet new and emerging regulatory compliance requirements. A comprehensive solution designed to safeguard children online, TrustElevate leverages privacy-preserving age verification checks combined with a secure platform for parental consent and oversight. TrustElevate empowers parents to make informed decisions about their children's digital experiences. Additionally, the platform helps businesses fulfill their legal duty of care by verifying age and parental status, creating a transparent audit trail for accountability and compliance with child safety regulations. #childsafety #onlinesafety #COPPA #GDPR

  • "The time for talk is over. From December, tech firms will be legally required to start taking action, meaning 2025 will be a pivotal year in creating a safer life online." - Dame Melanie Dawes, Ofcom’s Chief Executive The UK’s Online Safety Act, enforced by Ofcom, mandates tech companies to tackle illegal and harmful online content. Starting in December 2024, businesses must implement measures like age verification and safeguarding children. By mid-2025, platforms must assess risks and enforce protections, particularly for younger users. TrustElevate.com offers the only solution that verifies the child's actual age and validates the relationship between parents or caregivers and their children. This ensures that all consent comes directly from the parent or caregiver responsible for the child’s well-being. #onlinesafety #ofcom #childsafety #regulations #technology
