At Tunic Pay we are building the trust infrastructure to protect real-time payments for banks and their customers.
About us
At Tunic Pay we are the only fraud vendor designed specifically for APP. We are building the industry’s Intelligence Interchange, providing typology-specific fields on the other side of the transaction. Our solution provides data pipes (not just scores) for both in- and out-of-network participants. We are deep in implementation development with a number of Tier One banks and neobanks. We are built by second time fintech founders (Nova Credit & Casai), and backed by Europe's leading VCs, as well as a syndicate of fraud and payment founders. And we're just getting started.

Had a brilliant time speaking at Slush 2024 alongside Laura Spiekerman (Alloy), and Akila Quinio (Financial Times), diving into the pressing issues of scams and the future of safe, instant payments. The conversation was packed with learnings for me—like the surprising origins of different scam typologies, how trends like real-time payments and Covid (not just AI!) have shaped them, and where both policy and innovation in the U.S. are different. Of course we also tackled tough questions about the role of technology and social media—both as potential liability-holders and as a solution. No silver bullets yet, but lots of optimism around the impact of early efforts in detection, prevention, and data-sharing collaborations. Slush was unlike any conference I've ever experienced before—its energy, driven by the student-led approach and the incredibly dynamic audience, was infectious. I left Helsinki feeling inspired and ready to channel that momentum into our work at Tunic Pay. Thanks to the Slush team (and particularly Niina Niskanen, Alina K., and Julius Thimm) for putting together such a powerful event and to everyone who joined us for the conversation.

Had a fantastic time hosting a panel on Authorised Push Payment Fraud at HSBC Innovation Banking with industry leaders Martina King, Nico Barawid, and Anna Sweeney. We had a great discussion with clients and key players in the FinTech ecosystem on how to tackle this complex challenge using innovative APIs and machine learning. As Nico Barawid wisely puts it, "APP should not mean all payments pending." Looking forward to continuing these important conversations! Thomas Easterby Joel Murphy Clare Mitchell Nick Miller
