I start my working day at 6am and this typically involves running thorough quality checks on customer orders which are due for despatch. This involves a series of checks to ensure products are clear of defects and are of the required standard before leaving Uform. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞? The thing I enjoy most about my role is the nature of the job itself. I take great pride in my work, and always like to do everything to the best of my ability, a trait which is important in quality! I’ve had experience of different areas of the warehouse and this job for me is by far the most rewarding in terms of job satisfaction. Knowing that the products I check ultimately end up in people’s homes, gives me pride in knowing that homeowners can enjoy the ranges that we supply. I’ve been part of the furniture now for 30 years and have experienced some significant changes down through the years, but the culture remains the same. A typical day involves liaising with Team Leaders to help prioritise tasks, project meetings focused on specific objectives such as improvement processes and dealing with our external logistic partners.
