Our #LVEPShowcase took place at Parliament today, highlighting to Parliamentarians the importance of tourism to the UK economy, ahead of #EnglishTourismWeek25. Great to see MPs, Lords & Government representatives engaging with 36 Local Visitor Economy Partnerships (LVEPs) from across the country showcasing their work and driving regional development and growth through tourism. England’s tourism sector supports 200,000 businesses and 2.6 million jobs. We are working with LVEPs to enable them to play a strong role in place-making, supporting local skills development and expertise, attracting local investment and making it easier to serve international visitors.
