The submission was stated to be an exemplar approach and gained a unanimous decision at committee last week. The statement office building will offer market leading sustainable accommodation for the island, along with retail and leisure space plus an 80-key hotel, all centred around a new public square. We are delighted to share that Autor Architecture have submitted a full planning submission for a 3-4 storey residential development in Wembley, London Borough of Brent! The London Plan states that small sites, below 0.25ha, must play a greater role in housing delivery and the support of small housebuilders. Many of these sites are located in suburban locations, requiring us to balance a need for new homes with the preservation and contribution to existing character. This scheme re-interprets common forms found in post-war suburban housing, as a playful take on the 'mansion house' typology. Across 13 flats, 85% of which are dual-aspect, 30% family housing is provided with materiality and form embedded in the local context, all wrapped in a high-quality landscape proposal.
