Last week our consultants Thomas Chapman and Charles Stewart attended the YES partnership event and were invited to speak for the second time.   This event brought together West Hatch High School & Roding Valley High School students in year 10 and employers that offer apprenticeships to give the students an idea about future employment after education and the different pathways that they can take.   As an apprentice himself, Thomas Chapman gave the students a first-hand perspective from coming out of education into the world of work, he discussed the benefits of an apprenticeship, earning whilst learning and why he focused on developing skills within the workplace rather than the typical route of university.   Again, we are thankful to Tom for representing VNA Education, for sharing his journey and we hope that his insights have given the students a more clear idea about what pathway they are looking to take in the future. This week, our experienced consultant Charles Stewart was invited to participate in a mentoring programme for Year 11 students at King Harold Academy. Charles Stewart volunteered as a mentor, drawing on his years of experience in recruitment to share valuable insights and career advice with the students. It was an incredibly fulfilling experience, marking a meaningful milestone in the YES Partnership's three-year program, with whom we proudly collaborate with. As a company, we are deeply thankful for the opportunity to support the YES Partnership and share our journeys with students. Last week, one of our consultants, Thomas Chapman, was invited to speak at the YES Partnership's World of Work event. This event brings together students from various secondary schools to explore pathways for their futures, including employment opportunities and apprenticeships. As an apprentice himself, Tom shared his unique perspective on transitioning from school to the working world. He discussed the benefits of apprenticeships as a hands-on way to develop practical skills while earning and highlighting how they offer a strong alternative to traditional academic routes. His talk aimed to equip students with the knowledge and inspiration they need as they start planning for life beyond secondary school. Tom's journey as an apprentice allowed him to connect with the students on a relatable level, offering first-hand insights into balancing work and learning. He emphasised the value of real-world experience in shaping his career and encouraged students to consider apprenticeships as a fulfilling way to achieve their goals. We’re incredibly grateful to Tom for representing our team so well and for sharing his journey with the students. His dedication, enthusiasm, and relatable insights made a real impact, and we look forward to seeing the positive influence his story will have on these students' future choices.

As we transition to a brand-new academic year, Thomas Chapman, Michelle Stewart, and Phillip Smith made a visit to Wren Academy Enfield to donate a collection of books generously gifted by VNA staff members and family. Wren librarian 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗼-𝗞𝗼𝗯𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗵𝗶 and school staff welcomed the donation with great enthusiasm. We are thrilled to play a part in enhancing education and promoting reading among our young pupils. We trust that these books will significantly enrich the learning experience at Wren Academy.
