Great news for our VolkerStevin team who have been reappointed to the North East Procurement Organisation’s (NEPO) next generation Civils and Infrastructure framework!
We are delighted to have been reappointed to the North East Procurement Organisation’s (NEPO) next generation Civils and Infrastructure framework, securing primary positions across six regional and national lots. The framework is due to commence in March 2025 and run for four years, with an option to extend for a further two years. Ian Cussons, Operations Director at VolkerStevin, said: “We are thrilled to have resecured our position on NEPO’s framework, after working collaboratively with them over the past four years. Our delivery of the New Wear Footbridge in Sunderland – one of the first contracts to be procured through the current NEPO211 framework – alongside other notable projects being delivered for local authorities both within and outside the region, is testament to the strength of this partnership. “The North East is an important region for VolkerStevin, and this reappointment, along with our recent Gateshead office opening, further reinforces our long-term commitment to supporting local clients, communities, infrastructure and economic growth in the area. We look forward to continuing to deliver high-quality projects that make a lasting impact.” As its names suggests, NEPO is primarily used by North East local authorities. However, it is available to local authorities and other public sector bodies across the UK. The framework comprises of 11 lots covering civil engineering and infrastructure works in the geographic regions of the Tees Valley, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, Durham, the wider North East, and then nationally. Lots appointed to: Lot 5, North East: £5,000,001 to £10,000,000 Lot 6, North East: Over £10,000,000 Lot 7, National: Up to £5,000,000 Lot 8, National: £5,000,0001 - £10,000,000 Lot 9, National: Over £10,000,000 Lot 11, National: Specialist marine works associated with ports, harbours, docks, inland waterways, piers, and flood and coastal risk management projects

This week at Radlett SRFI (VolkerFitzpatrick Ltd) we welcomed 'Volks' the VolkerWessels UK #EarlyCareers fundraising mascot courtesy of Ruth W.. 'Volks' travels from site to site to support fundraising events across the country. I decided to host a bake sale for the chosen charities Save the Children UK and Mates in Mind. With the support of my team it was very successful raising over £400. A huge thank you to those who donated to such good causes. Last week we celebrated our annual Platinum Awards ceremony, at the UnderGlobe in London. Over 200 people from across our business attended the event, which celebrated our finalists, all of whom were recognised for their hard work and contributions over the past 12 months. With over 17 different award categories ranging from Employee of the Year to Delivering Success, the awards showcased so many of our employee’s hard work, dedication and resilience throughout the course of 2024.
