🌍 AI’s Growth and Its Impact on Air Quality A new study from Caltech and UC Riverside reveals an often-overlooked consequence of AI’s rapid expansion: its effect on air pollution and public health. 🔹 Training a single large AI model can produce air pollutants equivalent to 10,000 car trips between LA and NYC. 🔹 By 2030, U.S. data centers could add $20 billion annually to public health costs. 🔹 Disadvantaged communities bear the greatest burden, facing disproportionate health impacts. 🚨 Vox Aeris is a TRIG recipient! 🚨 We are thrilled to announce that Vox Aeris has been selected for the latest round of the Transport Research and Innovation Grant (TRIG) programme, delivered by Connected Places Catapult and funded by the Department for Transport (DfT), United Kingdom. Vox Aeris will be working on an innovative solution to improve air quality in the underground transport network, where particulate matter pollution is a significant challenge.
