Exciting community news! We’re thrilled to celebrate 7 early-career silversmiths, from across the Goldsmiths’ Centre community, who have worked with @stuartrayltd and @cooksongold to produce bespoke goblets for @thecompanyofentrepreneurs ! The chosen makers are: Caius Bearder @caiusbearderdesign Alice Fry @alicefryjewellery Dan Bollard @thomaslyte Oscar Saurin @oscarsaurin Alewijn Slingerland @alewijnslingerland Scott Smith @scottsmith.design Katie Watson @katiewatsondesigns The bowl of each goblet was spun by expert silver spinner, Stuart Ray, before each maker completed the manufacture of the pieces according to their individual designs, which reflected the interests of individual Company of Entrepreneurs Patrons. Using materials supported by Cookson Gold Precious Metals Ltd, and with the assistance of Stuart Ray throughout, these beautiful pieces, will be used in future at formal dinners and events. A huge thank you to the Company of Entrepreneurs Trust for giving these talented silversmiths such a fantastic opportunity; to Cooksongold Precious Metals Ltd for the materials; to Stuart Ray for his support and congratulations to the makers on the creation of these fabulous goblets.

Partnership news: London Museum showcases UK handmade jewellery by emerging designers in renewed collaboration with the Goldsmiths’ Centre! This joint retail project, developed by the Goldsmiths’ Centre on behalf of The Goldsmiths' Company Charity, offers five jewellers and silversmiths an invaluable platform to showcase their work in store at London Museum Docklands. Discover work by Xinyi Chen, Suzanne Seed, Cara Lowe, Jo Boateng, and Caitlin Murphy that connect to the rich history of London, the River Thames, and stories of trade and migration told in the museum’s galleries. Jo Mazzotta, Retail Buyer at London Museum, shares our enthusiasm: “This project allows us to continue our partnership with the Goldsmiths’ Centre and spotlight unique, meaningful collections. Each artist offers a distinct approach - fusing traditional beadwork, sculptural silversmithing, 3D printing, and even elevating e-waste. It’s both a tribute to London’s history and a celebration of contemporary design.” Discover our beautifully curated cabinet and find the perfect piece to take home. Whether it’s a striking design made with e-waste or a delicate ring inspired by historic architecture, there’s something to spark your curiosity.
