Uniting the Power of Many to decarbonise Europe

About us

learnd was founded in 2020 to disrupt the way buildings operate by providing energy and cost savings at scale - we call this the Power of Many. Now supporting 1 in 15 buildings across the UK and Ireland, our customers save up to 20% on their energy and costs through a combination of traditional BMS services, and an overlay of technology. This combination of BMS expertise and technology creates the learnd platform, and allows our customers to bring their BMS out of the basement by giving them instant visibility, access, and control of their BMS data. Whether it's through the learnd app, a cloud hosted unified system, or our Remote Operations Centre (ROC), your BMS data is visible and actionable at all times with the learnd platform - giving you the ability to optimise your buildings like never before. And with a team full of BMS experts, we're there to help you understand your systems as much or as little as you need to, while ensuring you're achieving the best possible results for your buildings. Whether it's a new BMS project, regular service and maintenance, upgrades, or reactive support, learnd has you covered. Because we can't decarbonise the built environment alone - it takes the Power of Many to make a transformational impact.

Everyone has a story to tell, and it’s about time we told ours 📖   Today is an extraordinary day for us at learnd. While we are known for many things, filmmaking is not one of them. But we thought we would make an exception to tell an incredibly important story. Ours.    There are many aspects that make up the fabric of learnd – our technologies, our ability and expertise, and our impact. But the greatest thing of all is our people.    From day one, we knew the only way to transform buildings and truly achieve a global impact is if we unite everything we do. Every employee, every customer, every supporter, and every investor, working towards a common goal of decarbonising the built environment. We call this The Power of Many.    We don’t just show up to work every day. We have a reason for doing what we do:  We unite the power of many to connect every single non-residential building and manage it smartly. Unleashing tremendous energy for Europe.     When we help one building reduce its emissions by up to 20%, it’s a huge milestone, but the more buildings we add to The Power of Many, the more exponential that impact becomes.    This is our purpose. Today, we share it with you. A purpose that we can’t do alone. Which is why we’re inviting you to join us and become an ally. The Power of Many needs all of us. Because at learnd, we don’t just hope for a better world. We build it. Learn more at www.learnd.eu. #netzero #bms #learnd #PowerofMany

Getting better BMS visibility doesn't have to involve a full system overhaul. When you have better visibility and control over your system, it gives you the power to immediately spot inefficiencies and irregular trends in your BMS data that are hindering your building's optimisation and performance. Remote site connections empower BMS users to bring that BMS data out of the basement, without overhauling their current BMS solution. In this week's Product Snacks episode, Melissa and Michael sit down with James Aspinall to give you the ins and outs of what a remote site connection could do for your operation, including: 👉 the evolution and importance of remote site connections in enhancing your BMS 👉 The benefits of remote connections, such as improved operational efficiency, energy management, and team collaboration 👉 The challenges preventing wider adoption, particularly related to cybersecurity and outdated hardware 👉 Practical insights on overcoming these challenges and the long-term advantages of implementing remote connections Want to get the full story? 50% of UK businesses have been impacted by a cyber security breach in the last 12 months. As we see more utilisation of smart buildings and connected systems, BMS security should be a crucial aspect of your company's cybersecurity protocols. We recommend understanding three things to ensure basic security measures are in place: 🔓 Understand how your BMS data is accessed - Access from the public internet makes your systems vulnerable to attacks, prevent this by using an encrypted VPN or private network 👥 Check who has access to your BMS data - if your users share accounts, or you don't manage access as people join and leave the company, you could be at risk. Use multi-factor authentication on individual accounts and regularly review users to keep access secure 🔄 Make sure your BMS is up to date - using old versions of BMS software or unsupported hardware can leave security gaps that leave your systems vulnerable, make sure all of your software us updated to the latest versions, and upgrade any obsolete hardware to keep everything secure Think you might have a security risk? learnd's team of experts makes BMS security their number one priority - reach out to sales@learnd.co.uk to secure your BMS today. #cybersecurity #BMS #learndplatform #powerofmany
