  • Announcement: Women in Business & Tech Expo Update It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Women in Business & Tech Expo will not be taking place in Manchester or London this year. Challenging market conditions and a declining number of exhibitors and sponsors taking part, have made it difficult to deliver the high-calibre event our incredible community deserves. We remain hopeful for brighter market conditions in 2026 and will always consider bringing the event back. Your enthusiasm and support over the last five years have been nothing short of amazing. A heartfelt thank you to all our partners, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, attendees and to YOU – our vibrant community. We’re excited to see your careers and businesses thrive in 2025 and beyond! Stay resilient, and let’s keep empowering each other. 💪✨ #WomenInBusiness #WomenInTech #FemaleEmpowerment

Tech She Can Founder & Co-Chief Executive Officer | PA Foundation Board | L'Oréal UK Advisory Board | Co-Chair City Of London Corporation, Digital Skills Taskforce.

Please can you help? Many of you know that I co-chair, the City of London’s Women Pivoting to Digital Taskforce. In collaboration with the 200 plus companies we are working with, the Taskforce, has developed an important survey to understand why women may or may not be interested in pivoting to tech roles (in any sector!) and what the barriers are to a career change to tech. Your answers will help us create better programmes and initiatives that support women to pivot to a career in tech and Inform the Government policy recommendations the Taskforce will be presenting to the government. Thanks for helping us.

📣 Calling all women, please take this 5-minute survey: https://bit.ly/405gc7g We want to hear from you about your career choices and challenges as well as your views of working in a digital role! Share your thoughts on digital careers with the chance to win £100. This survey was created by the City of London’s Women Pivoting to Digital Taskforce in partnership with CAPSLOCK. The Taskforce was created to break down barriers of opportunity for women from all backgrounds by supporting career changes into digital and tech roles. ⚡ We’re sharing this survey to understand why women may or may not be interested in a digital role (in any sector!) and the barriers preventing a career change into tech. We also want to know what is or isn’t working for women currently in these roles. There are no right or wrong answers - and you don't need to be in a particular job or sector to respond. Your answers will help us: 💡 Create better programmes and initiatives that support equity in the digital workforce 🏛️ Inform Government policies that aim to reskill women into higher-paying careers 🤝 Allow us to work better with employers so they can become more equitable and inclusive Thanks for helping us make changes that uplift women in the tech workforce! #WomenPivotingtoDigital #Technology #WomeninTech

  • The gender pay gap is widening! Which is why it is important to keep striving for equality. Together we can make a difference and the organisations we are working with at Karren Brady's Women in Business & Tech Expo are making a difference by looking at what women need to be supported in the workplace to thrive and progress, starting with inclusive recruitment and female friendly policies and networks. Creating networks where women can meet and support each other are really important and the partners we are working with such as SheCanCode are doing a fantastic job at this, helping women to stay in their chosen career and level up the gap: https://lnkd.in/epRDyqk7 Well done everyone. 🙌 Together we can make a difference and every little step helps to close the gap. #genderpaygap #inclusiverecruitment #closethegap #womeninleadership #diversity

🌟 Today is Equal Pay Day in the UK 🌟 This marks the day when, due to the gender pay gap, women effectively stop earning compared to men and work for free for the rest of the year. The UK’s mean gender pay gap is now 11.3%, up from 10.4% last year—reversing a decade-long trend of narrowing the gap. This widening disparity means that on average, every month working women take home £631 less than men. This highlights ongoing challenges, including unequal pay, caregiving responsibilities, and fewer opportunities for women in higher-paying roles. Equal pay is not just a women's issue; it’s an economic and social imperative. Let’s push for policies that close the gap—like salary transparency, better parental leave, and support for caregivers. Women deserve equal pay for equal work. 💼💪 Join the conversation and get involved at https://lnkd.in/eEk6rUCJ . #EqualPayDay #GenderPayGap #JointheMovement
