Last night we had the pleasure of supporting our Students & Early Careers group for their engagement event exploring career journeys at City of Glasgow College. Thanks to Dr Silvio Hofmann (FHEA, Academic Assoc CIPD) and Amy Close for arranging the event and a special thank you to Rebecca Fox Assoc CIPD, Ryan Gray and Kirsten Laird for sharing their stories! An insightful and informative insight into our speakers professional experience before an engaging Q&A session! Special thanks to our student ambassador Raza Khan (Associate CIPD) for helping to direct attendees on the night!

We had the pleasure of hosting Alison Manners from Flexibility Works for our session focussing on flexibility. With insights as to what might change with the potential introduction of the Employment Rights Bill. With practical advice to support HR colleagues champion flexible working in their organisations it was fantastic to explore ideas for flexible working, including potential options for supporting flexible working for front-line workers.

And just like that it's a wrap on #cipdACE for 2024! A great final day filled with inspiration, from a coffee in the CIPD members lounge, to space where we can dream big and to the dictionary as a final countdown to closing. Our branch chairs Jill Burgess & Michael Youd were also doing their bit facilitating some break out sessions in the exhibition hall! Now we're just hoping for our train back to the West of Scotland to be running on schedule. Wish us luck 😊

Thanks to all who came along to our Ayrshire Geographic event last week where Jonathan Rennie hosted a round table discussion on new employment law changes.
