About us
Our vision is a world transformed, in which Circular Living is commonplace. Where the systems that provide our everyday goods contribute to the world's prosperity and sustainability instead of reducing it. We are a global environmental action NGO transforming our broken product and food systems. Our mission is to embed Circular Living — for the benefit of climate, nature and people. For over 20 years we’ve delivered programs that reduce CO2 and waste, restore nature and change people’s behaviour. We catalyse action from policy makers, businesses, NGOs — and in a world of mounting challenges, make Circular Living a beacon of change. Our mission is to embed Circular Living in every boardroom and every home. https://www.wrap.ngo/about-us/our-plan Community guidelines: http://www.wrap.ngo/content/community-guidelines

After this news was announced on the Somerset Council Waste Services Facebook page, residents showed their overwhelming support. Our Senior Resource Management Specialist, Adam Herriott joined BBC Radio Somerset to share the work we've been doing with toothpaste brands to make their tubes recyclable, and why the Somerset region are leading the way by accepting toothpaste tubes in home recycling. Edible #FoodWaste from farms will be redistributed to homeless shelters, food banks and charities, according to The Guardian https://lnkd.in/eTBSu-Jk £15m will be made available to food distribution charities in England to buy equipment to collect and process bulky food items, technology to help farms and charities work together and IT training for staff. In the UK, an estimated 330,000 tonnes of edible food is either wasted or repurposed as animal feed before leaving farm gates every year. Our CEO, Harriet Lamb said: "It gives a flying start to the New Year, ensuring that food charities and the farming sector can both make a difference immediately and can develop long term solutions. Every year, the amount of surplus food being redistributed is going up, but sadly the need is also increasing so this gives a much-needed boost." Do you think this scheme will make a difference?
