Bringing a new Daye in gynae health ☀️

About us

Daye is a female-founded gynae health start-up on a mission to close the gender health gap for good. We started out with the invention of the world’s first pain-relieving tampon, designed to support the 90% of women who experience menstrual cramps. After helping over 75,000 women & AFAB individuals kick period pain to the curb, we launched our second generation tampon to facilitate the at-home detection of vaginal infections, STIs and HPV. Next, we want to develop solutions for under-served gynae health conditions like endometriosis, PCOS and menopause. Within the next five years, we will build an ecosystem where every woman can understand, monitor, and improve her health from her smartphone.

We're excited to announce that our Founder & CEO, Valentina Milanova 🇺🇦 , will be speaking at the 4YFN panel in Barcelona on March 3rd! The topic is "Mind the gap - bridging women's health," and Valentina will join a lineup of trailblazing voices reshaping the women's health landscape. Despite significant advancements in healthcare, women's health remains underfunded and underserved, with critical gaps in research, innovation, and access to care. This panel will explore the challenges and opportunities in addressing gender disparities in healthcare, the role of technology in bridging these gaps, and the importance of fostering innovation centered on women's unique health needs. Valentina's vision is clear: "I started Daye because I believe that women's health is the single most important challenge to resolve within our lifetime, so as to enable over half of the population to fully take part in our societies and economies, instead of being stuck at home with a hot water bottle, or leaving work at the peak of our careers due to unmanaged menopause symptoms." Joining Valentina on the panel are Judit Giró Benet, Co-founder & CEO of The Blue Box Biomedical Solutions, Karolina Löfqvist, Co-founder and CEO of hormona, and moderator Aline Noizet, Founder of Digital Health Connector. Let's bridge the gap together! Stay tuned for updates from the event. #FemTech #4YFN25 #GenderHealthGap #Daye #GynaecologicalHealth #InnovationInHealthcare

Removing the pain, shame, and time wasted from gynaecological health

Here's a shocking reality check: while we race to Mars and obsess over AI, millions of women are fighting an invisible battle. Hot water bottles and sick days have become their norm. 8-12 years to get an endometriosis diagnosis? In 2025? This isn't just unacceptable - it's inhumane. With Daye's Period & Pelvic Pain Clinic we focused on something fundamental: ensuring everyone can live, work, and thrive without being held back by undiagnosed pelvic pain. Our clinic provides: - 6 gynaecological conditions assessed simultaneously - Direct access to top specialists - Evidence-based pain management that actually works The gender pain gap isn't just a healthcare issue - it's the most crucial societal challenge we must resolve in our lifetime. While 90% of women suffer from period pain, we're holding back half of humanity's potential. Let's change this.

Untreated conditions like vaginal infections, chronic pelvic pain, and preventable diseases like cervical cancer are barriers to women reaching their full potential. Scotland has nearly eradicated cervical cancer through regular screening and vaccination, and we can do the same. Learn more about how we can raise the bar for #womenshealthresearch by creating more inclusive, patient-centric clinical trials in our latest webinar with Daye founder Valentina Milanova and Lindus Health co-founder Meri Beckwith: https://lnkd.in/eB3ksdii #womenshealth #reproductivehealth #clinicaltrials #menopause #healthcareinnovation #patientexperience

27% of employees quit within 5 years of an endometriosis diagnosis. It’s not just a personal issue, it’s a workplace failure. Yet, most workplaces still don’t have a plan to support employees living with the condition. Here’s the reality: → 1 in 10 women have endometriosis (it’s more common than asthma or diabetes) → Diagnosis takes an average of 9 years, allowing progression and complications → Delayed diagnosis increases absenteeism and healthcare costs by 60% The likelihood is, you already have employees with endometriosis.  Which means you already have a workplace health crisis on your hands. And there’s a serious cost to ignoring it:   ⛔ More sick days ⛔ Lower productivity  ⛔ Loss of valuable talent So, what can you do to support employees with endometriosis right now? ✅ Introduce an endometriosis policy ✅ Provide quiet spaces and comfortable seating ✅ Offer flexible working (adjustable hours + remote work) ✅ Train managers to recognise symptoms and offer support Workplaces that take real action will retain talent, improve productivity and reduce costs. Supporting employees with endometriosis isn’t just right, it’s smart business. Read more as Valentina Milanova 🇺🇦 breaks it all down in an article for HR magazine:  https://lnkd.in/d_yQY92t

In light of Cervical Cancer Awareness Week, we wanted to share an important article on the common signs of this preventable disease. Early detection is essential, and regular HPV testing + cervical screenings are the key to preventing cervical cancer from progressing. Click on the link below to learn more from our founder, Valentina Milanova 🇺🇦, who shares the most common, yet often ignored early signs of cervical cell changes with Amy Jones at The Mirror. Nearly all cervical cancer cases (99.98%) are linked to persistent infections with high-risk HPV types, which can cause cervical cells to become abnormal over time. To support the NHS goal of eliminating cervical cancer by 2040, Daye is developing innovative at-home screening methods. The Daye HPV test, available in the UK, offers a familiar and comfortable way to conduct screenings on your own terms. If we’re ever going to achieve real equity, we need more men who ACTUALLY like women at the top. Because right now there are too many that don't. Over the summer, I came across an article about the difference between the two. And now I see it everywhere. The men who interrupt us, talk over us, or dismiss our ideas. The ones who only make eye contact with other men in meetings and rarely, if ever, direct a question to us. They complain about female leadership and think things authored or spoken by a woman isn’t "relevant to them.” They might love women romantically. Desire us, even. But do they respect us? Do they value our contributions? Create safe spaces for us to thrive? Support our leadership? Then, there are men who do. Men who genuinely listen, seek out our opinions, and amplify our ideas. They value women’s voices, and I’ve been lucky to work with many of them. This dynamic doesn’t come out of thin air. Boys are conditioned to dismiss anything "girly." And when you train boys to reject the feminine, to think of it as “less-than” how can we be surprised when they grow into men who struggle to respect women? Young women internalize this and learn to equate femininity with weakness or inferiority. They seek approval from male colleagues over their female counterparts, adopting “I’m not like other girls” survival strategies. Maybe this explains why so many female leaders feel they need to adopt “male traits” to succeed. And the men who do like women often find themselves without role models. After all, if you can’t SEE IT, you can’t BE IT. So how are we actively challenging these dynamics? It’s not enough to just create programs for women (though those are crucial). How are we supporting men to model healthy, inclusive leadership? Are we offering mentorship programs connecting them with male leaders who respect and value women? Because real equity doesn’t just mean more women at the top. It means more men who genuinely like women—and act like it. ------ Vanillacooldance is the taboo-breaking cartoon empowering you from the bedroom to the boardroom.
