In our latest blog post, we focus on the importance of promoting inclusive sport and shine a light on Fairfield College’s Inclusive Youth Leadership Event. The aim of this event was to inspire each attendee to become an inclusive sports leader. Although lower numbers than originally planned, this event showcased the power of inclusion with all four schools collaborating to share ideas, make new connections and develop their knowledge and confidence to become inclusive leaders. We're on a mission to ensure that every young person has access to the life changing benefits of PE, sport and play. Our Well School Movement has a pioneering approach to embedding physical activity at the heart of the culture and ethos of schools. We want to say thank you to Manchester University for their help in evaluating what is happening in some of the schools we work with. You can read more here: https://lnkd.in/eDhyBK_x #PE #Sport #Play

See you in March, who else is joining us? 🙌
Local Government Senior Leader | Executive Interim & Consultant specialising in Communities, Environment, and Place
I’m looking forward to attending the Youth Sport Trust Conference 2024, where I’ll be joining a fantastic panel discussion: A Playing Child is a Learning Child. Play is fundamental - not just for fun, but for learning, wellbeing, and community cohesion. I’ll be sharing insights on play sufficiency in schools and communities, exploring how we can create more opportunities for every child to play, thrive, and develop essential life skills. With schools facing increasing pressures, it’s never been more important to champion play as a catalyst for wellbeing, learning, and development. Looking forward to an inspiring day of discussion, collaboration, and action! The conference website is now live at: https://lnkd.in/ezsXE8tu If you're attending, let’s connect and talk all things PE, sport and play! #YSTConference #PlaySufficiency #LearningThroughPlay #ActivePlay #FreePlay
