Ziegler UK’s journey in Essex began in 2010 in West Thurrock, with a modest team of 20. Over the years, it has steadily expanded, bolstered by strategic acquisitions. In 2020, it relocated to the newly developed London Gateway Logistics Park in Stanford-le-Hope, establishing the UK headquarters. Just four years later, in early 2024, another significant move was made to an adjacent premises only yards away, increasing capacity by over 400,000 square feet and creating Ziegler UK’s largest European multimodal hub. The branch workforce now stands at over 150. Situated within the DP World campus, this prime location offers unparalleled connectivity and operational efficiency. The proximity to the port ensures priority access 24/7, enabling Ziegler to handle container freight with exceptional speed. This includes processing and returning over 30 containers within a 24-hour period, streamlining high-volume logistics planning. The facility is now home to a wide array of departments, including operations, transport, logistics, warehousing, sales, customs, IT, accounts, HR, and marketing. With 37 docking bays, 55,000 pallet racking spaces, and a 24,000-square-foot mezzanine dedicated to value-added services, this hub stands as the beating heart of Ziegler UK’s operations—poised for continued growth and evolution.
