What I have found helpful in being able to assess the effectiveness of creative thinking skills in my team, is by closely observing how team members engage. By observing their interactions, I can gauge their ability to think outside the box, generate innovative ideas, and contribute creatively to the team's goals. Additionally, I would review the outcomes of their creative efforts to see how well they align with the desired objectives and whether they demonstrate originality and effectiveness. Through this process of observation and analysis, I can evaluate the level of creative thinking skills within the team and identify areas for improvement or further development.

How can you effectively manage a team of junior planners?
Any type of planning requires understanding your customers (including internal and external customers) and the end result. You also want to know your team and play to each individual strength to maximise collaboration and engagement. A lot of people do well when there is adequate flow of communication and a reward and recognition process to appreciate hard work.
