About us

Asian Trader is the leading trade magazine for the convenience sector in the UK, with an ABC figure of 40,275. The magazine is a national, fortnightly publication that is sent to and read by independent retailers who either own or manage their store, and all have stock purchasing ability. We publish Asian Trader in three languages: English, Gujarati and Urdu; to ensure that nothing gets lost in translation to the key decision makers of the business. The vast majority of independent retailers are Asian, 75% nationally and over 95% in major cities like London, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow. Asian Trader magazine is also read by non-Asian retailers too, who also view the magazine as the best place to learn about latest industry news, legislation, NPD or the best cash and carry offers. We recognise that our readers are often local community champions, who support their area and local charities. We have grown and developed our relationship with our readers, who see Asian Trader as their voice when needed, for example lobbying against Tobacco plain packaging. Asian Trader is a trusted title that represents independent retailers views and keeps them up to date with impartial advice and news. In addition to the publication, Asian Trader also hosts a prestigious awards evening, the Asian Trader Awards, to recognise those that have achieved success. The Asian Trader Awards is the only event in the year that attracts the very best of the convenience sector.
