Recycling plastics is big business these days and there are many machines on the market to do this, but one of the problems recyclers face is the contamination that comes along with the plastic feed stock, each machine has filtration of a certain kind whether it be laser filters, screen changers, back flushing filters to name a few. Each type needs changing at some point due to them blocking with the contamination that they are filtering out. These filters are expensive and replacing with new is a headache that every user has, but the filters themselves can be recycled. This week we’ve been delighted to welcome Japanese guests Kazuhiro Kamimura and Toshihiro Morii from Nagase & Co., Ltd. to our site here in Blackburn, Lancashire. They have spent five days with us learning about our patented super heated steam cleaning technology, DEECOM®, and we were able to demonstrate successful refurbishments of two of their polymer filter units. From our side, we’ve also had a great week, and we’ve been able to further our knowledge of how DEECOM® works with components contaminated with polyethylene. Wishing you both a safe trip back to Japan, and we look forward to continuing to work with you going forwards, and hopefully meeting up again soon.
