  • We are passionate about giving back to the communities where we are based. During the month of November, colleagues from across the UK took the time to support organisations that are doing brilliant work and helping to improve local areas and causes. Some of our November highlights include: -Our Learning and Development and Inclusion and Diversity teams volunteered at Spitalfields City Farm. Colleagues spent the morning helping out by cleaning shelters and clearing a pond space. The team then had the opportunity to feed the animals, learning more about the work that the farm undertakes and their challenges. -In Llantrisant, our team spent the day lending help to Woody’s Lodge, which is an organisation that provides a meeting space for veterans of the Armed Forces, Emergency Services and Reservists to re-engage with life, their families and their communities. The team helped by tidying and carrying out a stock check of donated items as well as spring cleaning one of their rooms and putting up Christmas decorations. -Colleagues from our Wakefield office volunteered with the Wakefield Hospice by sorting through and putting tags on a large number of donations. The team spent hours organising clothes and furniture so that they could be sent to the organisation’s charity shops. -In London, our team spent the day volunteering with the Oasis Academy which is an organisation that works within some of the most vulnerable local areas by helping to improve communities. Colleagues helped set up for a breakfast club and community fridge by unloading deliveries and organising food. We are incredibly proud of our teams for dedicating their time and efforts to give back to their communities. Well done to all our colleagues who took part this month! #GallagherGivesBack #LifeatGallagher

  • Round 7 of Gallagher Premiership Rugby (29th Nov - 1st Dec) has been dedicated to Community Weekend, with all games over the weekend dedicated to the award-winning community programmes, including HITZ and Project Rugby, run by Premiership Rugby in collaboration with its Clubs and their Foundations. This season’s Community Weekend focuses on the many benefits of being part of the rugby community – from improving physical fitness, health and mental wellbeing, building confidence to social connectedness. We are incredibly proud to support Premiership Rugby and the work it does with its Clubs and Foundations within communities across the UK. Premiership Rugby community programmes benefit around 250,000 people annually. Charlie Scott, Chief Financial Officer for Gallagher across EMEA and a Project Rugby volunteer added: “We are incredibly proud to support Premiership Rugby’s clubs and community coaches who do fantastic work in helping grow the game at grassroots level. “It is brilliant to hear from Project Rugby participants who have clearly benefited from getting involved in rugby. This important initiative is making a positive impact on the lives of young people, providing them with new opportunities and helping to make the game more accessible for all. At Gallagher, we are passionate about supporting the communities where we are based and our partnership with Premiership Rugby is enabling us to make a real difference.” As part of this special weekend, we are highlighting some inspirational stories of individuals whose lives have been changed by being involved with the game: https://okt.to/nw0Hel #ProjectRugby #GallagherPrem #YourTrustedInsuranceBroker
