An independent review of the Windsor Framework has got underway. The review will provide the Government a report regarding the functioning of the Windsor Framework and its impact on social, economic and political life in Northern Ireland. It will look at all aspects of the agreement and whether it is doing what it set out to do which is to allow seamless trade between the UK and Northern Ireland and remove the need for a hard border between the North and South. Where the review identifies challenges and issues it will also provide recommendations on how these may be addressed. The report will be presented to the Secretary of state by the beginning of June.
