About us
Zurich provides a suite of general insurance and life insurance products to retail and commercial customers and brokers. We supply personal, commercial and local authority insurance through a number of distribution channels, and offer a range of protection, retirement and savings policies available online and through financial intermediaries for the retail market and via employee benefit consultants for the corporate market. Zurich employs approximately 5,000 people in the UK using a hybrid-working model. Based in a number of locations across the UK - with large sites in Birmingham, Farnborough, Glasgow, London, Swindon and Whiteley. In 2019 we introduced a first of its kind initiative to advertise all new vacancies as part-time, job share or full-time opportunities - alongside flexible working. This was coupled with the use of gender-neutral language in every job advertisement. Since the initiative launched, demand for part-time jobs has almost doubled, nearly a quarter of new female hires have been appointed on a part time basis and overall applications to Zurich are up by two thirds Our Corporate Responsibility strategy aims to create value for both our company and for society as a whole. We are taking positive steps to do more by helping you sustain the things that matter the most: your family, your livelihood, your hopes and dreams, by offering access to counselling services for customers making a claim and planting a tree for every new life insurance policy taken out.

🎄For their Zurich Community Trust Christmas Challenge, the Group Tax team delivered 12 gift bags for visiting children and 12 for residents at Prospect Hospice, which provides end-of-life care. Even the wind couldn’t stop them from spreading joy! 🎁 The gift bags were filled with fluffy socks, chocolates, biscuits, Christmas mugs, tree decorations, books, crafts for the kids, and so much more! The team had a blast buying and packing all the gifts, and Prospect Hospice were thrilled! 💙🎄
