Southern travelers, come and see the northern sea in Yantai and Weihai, Shandong. I have a good impression of Yantai Mountain in Fuzhou, so I wanted to see what the original Yantai Mountain looks like. I flew to Yantai in October, the off-season, and spent three and a half days there at a leisurely pace. It was a comfortable trip. I heard that after the National Day holiday, Yantai and Weihai enter the off-season, and indeed, there were not many people wherever I went. The temperature was around 20°C, which was very comfortable. I rented a car and drove myself after landing at Yantai Penglai International Airport, which was relatively convenient. Day 1: Evening - Fisherman's Wharf + Suochengli Day 2: Morning - Yantai Mountain + Chaoyang Street (recommended) Day 2: Afternoon - Weihai Rongcheng Blue Whale Shipwreck + Naxianghai Scenic Area Day 2: Evening - Weihai Xinwei Road Day 3: Liugong Island + Weihai Retired Destroyer + Hanlefang + Weihai Park Photo Frame + Happiness Gate + Qixia Street Day 4: Haiyuan Park, World War I Chinese Laborers Memorial Hall + Maotou Mountain (recommended) + Yuanyao Wharf + Weihai Park + Jinhaiwan Bridge + International Bathing Beach + Torch 8th Street + Sea Fortress (all on the same line, very convenient for self-driving, each point is within 10 minutes by car, you can visit them all in one go) Food: Mainly Shandong cuisine and Korean food.
