#deliciousfood This place has been a classic among locals in Penang. The most famous dish is the Indonesian prawn. The other classic dishes like fish, Tofu, and fried crispy kailan are also good. I tried their set menu with pretty reasonable price, overall dishes are great and taste are meeting expectations. The ambience is great and overall setup are able to cater for traditional Chinese wedding dinners as well VIP rooms available for business dinners purposes.

#traveldiaries We were wondering around Balik Pulau, hunting for good food and looking for some nice activities, and we drove to this nice paddy field at Balik Pulau. The weather is so nice that the picture taken are so breathtaking, and your heart immediately feel so relieved. You will need to drive further down to the village before you could reach, and there is a small alleyway to drive so be careful not to met with accident, but this is definitely a place to visit at Balik Pulau. Do walk around and catch the sunset if possible.

We are hosting some friends so we opted for the set meals, each set comes with 8 dishes. We have the Steamed dish Nyonya style, Abalone and Brocolli, Belacan Chicken, Soy sauce clams, Seafood tofu, sweet and sour chicken, fried cuttlefish and stirred fried prawns, and marinated pork ribs. We had a good time dining in this restaurnt that gives a going back home vibes, with lush greens and seaside view near the temple which we can see sunset. This is a very nice place to dine and hang out and we will do it again.

The RM 168 set for two, available from 2 to 5 pm, was a treat with a delicious mix of savouries, sweets, and scones. My favourites are the savoury versions. The Savoury Duck Leg Confit in a Steamed Lotus Leaf Bun and the Wild Mushroom Ragout on Croffle were standouts, and the scones, especially the Macadamia Nut ones, were divine. For Sweets, the Mango Coconut Tartlet and Rose Cream Chiboust were the perfect sweet finish. Highly recommend it for a relaxing afternoon by the beach!

Penang National Park is indeed a haven for natural enthusiasts and hikers as its got so much to offer. From lush greeneries, unique floras and plants, the sea, the beach for a beach therapy, it’s got it all! There are two main trails that leads to Monkey Beach and Kerachut Beach. For us, we chose the Monkey Beach trail, which took us about 2 hours to arrive at the serene and tranquil Monkey Beach. The trails are maintained well, and the hike was a moderate one, not too tough and not too easy. Do bring along some food and water as there’s no restaurant or stores that sell food at the beach. We rented a boat to pick us up from the beach and back to the starting point. Such a great place for a hike! I wish to travel to Hong Kong for the food!

The café is tucked in a small corner of the main road, with limited parking spots. The ambiance is cozy and comfortable, with lovely and old school decorations. There are a lot of tables and seatings (wooden chairs, sofa, over the counter seats) in store. The food we had was delicious! Love the western style pattaya, which is omelette wrapped with mushrooms, vegetables topped with chilli sauce and mayonnaise sauce. We had waffle and ice cream, banana as dessert! Waffle was served piping hot, perfect pair with ice cream! I wish to travel to Hong Kong for the food!

It was a recent discovered beach at the Southern area of Penang island, thus this place is less touristy and developed compared to the beach at Batu Ferringhi. The hike to the beach was an easy one, with tar roads and took us about 20minutes time. Totally worth the little hike! Wearing slippers works too as it is more like a walk rather than a hike. The view was stunning and amazing! The beach is clean as well! Great place for sea watching, feel the sea breeze, chill and picnic sounds great too! I wish to travel to Hong Kong for the food!

The Penang International Dragon Boat Regatta 2023 has concluded at Teluk Bahang Dam on Dec 2-3 that set a whole new record consisting over 60 teams from 14 countries. Participants took part of 6 race categories with 3 main events(400m Straight Course, 400m relay and Tug of War) within these two days. It’s got both open-air area (you get to enjoy the sun and sea breeze) and indoor seating, which might be great for lunch time as it gets sunny during lunch time! They have a great variety of food ranging from rice, pasta to smoothie bowls! I have been to this café for multiple times and the food served was consistently delicious! Served great coffee too! Not only it serves delicious food (oh the nasi lemak was so good!), it also sells a wide variety of cakes, pastries and bread! As mentioned, the Nasi Lemak with Lemongrass Pork was so delicious! The rice was fragrant and the pork was perfection too! We also ordered their teow chew yam chai kuih and gave it 5 stars. It can get a little packed during lunch time, so come early! Penang Airport is the only airport in Penang and it has a wide range of flying routes. There are many airlines coming here and there is also many food options at this small airport. I can get Mcdonalds fast food and famous local nasi kandar here. This nasi kandar is from Gerogetown area and it always has a long queue. So now I am able to eat it just before I board my plane. This is really so much easier, and I can also pre-pack some food too.

#wheretogo We're a fan of hitting 10k steps per day, so we're always looking for good parks to fulfill that little mission of ours. Enter GSD Cycling Park! Yes, the main reason for its creation is for cyclists, but there are plenty of joggers (and walkers) as the trail and landscaping is really beautiful and relaxing. The bonus is that you can get a really good view of the Penang Bridge! Personally, we loved walking at the trail, and venture out to the beach area. And if you want to do a little shop and dine, you can continue your walk to Queens Waterfront - it's all conveniently connected!
