The event provided valuable opportunities for technology transfer and market expansion, as well as enhancing the cooperation between Vietnam and Malaysia, promoting innovation, and fostering sustainable development. 💡 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:  ✔ 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟬 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗲𝘀, including distinguished guests such as the Consuls General of Malaysia and China in Ho Chi Minh City, representatives from the Department of Planning and Investment of Ho Chi Minh City, as well as 𝟯𝟬 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗮 and prominent companies from Vietnam. ✔ 𝟬𝟰 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗺𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗠𝗼𝗨𝘀) were signed between Malaysia and Vietnam businesses and organizations, including an MoU between MDEC and Sunwah Innovations (Vietnam) to strengthen connections and facilitate market expansions for technology companies and startups in both countries. From 30 September to 2 October 2024, Sunwah Innovations was honored to join Asia Startup Expo 2024 FLY ASIA 2024 in Busan, South Korea. Mr. Jesse Choi, Regional Director of Sunwah Group in ASEAN and CEO of Sunwah Innovations, and Ms. Thuy Ho, Director of External Relations of Sunwah Vietnam, participated in this event. Fly Asia, which began in 2022, is a startup expo hosted by the Busan City Government of South Korea. Sunwah Innovations has been invited to participate in the event's 2023 and 2024 editions. Fly Asia 2024 attracted nearly 500 investors from 33 countries and over 700 entrepreneurs, with more than 15,000 visitors. Compared to previous years, the scale of participation this year has significantly expanded, making it a venue for Asian business exchanges. At the opening ceremony, Busan Mayor Park Hyung-jun delivered a welcome speech. Fly Asia 2024 adopted the "Global Pavilion" initiative, attracting government agencies, startup supporters, investment funds, and potential startups from six countries and cities including Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Sunwah Innovations showcased at the Vietnam Pavillion together with its nominated Vietnamese travel tech startup EasyWeGo, who entered the Top 30 outstanding startups in the digital innovation field. Mr. Jesse Choi also participated in a Vietnam roundtable hosted by Mr. Youngil Ahn, Managing Director of TIPS TOWN. He shared the Vietnamese market's potential and Sunwah Innovation's role in supporting domestic and international startups in seeking cross-border opportunities. This donation will be used to build or restore educational infrastructure in areas heavily affected by natural disasters, aiming to mitigate the consequences and improve the local educational infrastructure. Mr. Ly Van Hai, Chairman of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front in Lao Cai province, and Mr. Pham Thanh Quang, Director of the Lao Cai Province’s Foreign Affairs Department, received the donation on behalf of the provincial government and people. At the Donation Ceremony, Mr. Ly Van Hai expressed gratitude to Sunwah Group, particularly Dr. Jonathan Choi, Chairman of the Group, for his concern and generosity towards the local community during the post-typhoon relief efforts. With a long-standing friendship and cooperation with Vietnam, Sunwah Group is not only an important economic partner but also actively participates in charitable and community development activities. In particular, in light of the difficulties faced by Lao Cai Province due to the recent typhoon and flooding, Sunwah Group seeks to contribute to rebuilding educational facilities to ensure a safe and quality learning environment for students. This donation reflects Sunwah’s commitment to supporting Vietnam, particularly Lao Cai Province, in recovering from the damage caused by the natural disasters. This support will help the local community quickly overcome difficulties and contribute to building a solid educational infrastructure, laying the foundation for future generations. In addition to the donation, Sunwah has implemented numerous support activities for Vietnam, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. In August 2021, Sunwah Group donated medical supplies worth over USD 200,000, including masks, testing kits, and medical protective equipment, to northern provinces of Vietnam, including Lao Cai, to help the local communities respond to the pandemic. Previously, in 2020, to contribute to Vietnam’s efforts to combat the pandemic, Sunwah Group also donated VND 5 billion to the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Fund and 60,000 masks and medical supplies to various ministries and universities in Vietnam.
