Over 100 colleagues from around the world gathered in Melbourne this week to learn, share, and advocate for better student and test-taker outcomes. 🌧️IDP’s Heartfelt Mission to Support Typhoon Yagi Victims (Part 2)🌧️ Continuing on the mission to support communities affected by Typhoon Yagi, on September 21st, IDP embarked on a heartfelt mission to Minh Tiến commune and Yên Thịnh ward in Yên Bái province. Our team distributed 100 relief packages with essential supplies to support the residents affected by Typhoon Yagi. Despite the long and challenging journey, the IDP team was invigorated by the opportunity to directly engage with the community, offering not just material support but also emotional encouragement. Although the residents have gradually stabilized their lives after the storm, the destruction of crops and the impact on livestock have made the recovery process extremely challenging. Additionally, post-storm diseases have become another burden for the community. We hope that with this collective effort, IDP can help motivate the residents to rebuild their lives, stabilize their spirits, and strengthen the community’s resilience to overcome these difficulties. We are proud to be part of a community that comes together in times of crisis, demonstrating the true spirit of unity and kindness. 🌧️ IDP Vietnam Supports Communities Affected by Typhoon Yagi 🌧️(Part 1) On September 14, 2024, Ms. Nhung Dang, our Office Manager in Hai Phong, represented IDP Vietnam in partnership with the People’s Committee of Cat Bi Ward to deliver essential aid to some households in the fishing village near Cầu Rào 1 (Hai An District). These families, who live on floating rafts, depend on fishing for both shelter and livelihood. Unfortunately, Typhoon Yagi caused significant damage, with some losing their boats and fishing gear—their primary source of income. Each household received a relief package with essential items from IDP. This marks the first in a series of IDP initiatives to support those affected by Typhoon Yagi. We will continue our efforts across other provinces and share updates. At IDP, we are dedicated to supporting our communities in times of need. The training was conducted in an open, joyful, and connected atmosphere, featuring various activities like group discussions, quizzes, and presentations. Reflective moments allowed participants to delve deeper into the principles of EI, gaining valuable insights on how to apply these concepts effectively in both their personal and professional lives. IDP IELTS is proud to collaborate with the Hanoi Department of Education and Training for the second time to implement the "International IELTS Standards Training Program" for 1,900 English teachers. On August 26, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training held the opening ceremony for the course "International IELTS Proficiency Training for qualified English teachers according to the Vietnamese 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework." For two consecutive years, IDP Vietnam has been honored to be selected as the organization to conduct the international IELTS testing at the end of the training course. IDP Vietnam is committed to ensuring the quality of testing in accordance with international standards and the regulations of the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training, as well as providing optimal academic support for the participating teachers. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, stated that the training to elevate standards for English teachers aims to enhance the quality of English teaching and learning in schools throughout the city. This initiative is a priority for the Department of Education and Training and will be implemented in various forms. It marks the first activity before the new school year of 2024-2025, reflecting the determination of the capital's education sector to improve the quality of teaching and learning, including English. Let’s take a look back at some impressive moments from this grand and solemn opening ceremony. IELTS ON COMPUTER RESULTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE WITHIN 2 DAYS People in Vietnam who take their International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test on a computer can now receive their results within 2 days. The faster results aim to support IELTS test takers who face tight deadlines as part of their global study, work or migration applications. Mr Raghav Sabharwal, IELTS Regional Director for South East Asia at IDP, said the quicker results turnaround time demonstrates IELTS’ commitment to helping test takers achieve their big global goals.
